Then the list would be chock full of SEC schools.

The top southern schools above…UNC, Florida and Duke have some of the lowest acceptance rates for OOS.

It’s funny when confronted with the facts, then it’s just nonsense comments.

Where did this list come from? Are the numbers verified? I’m not convinced your “facts” are legitimate.

It came directly from Bethesda Magazine which gathers all the data from MoCo schools which is published.

You are also free to sort the MoCo data on your own.

They are the facts….but sure, your bullshit gut instinct is better.

The trend is real.

Did you happen to look at the nominal numbers they are talking about?

LSU went from 100 to 586 students...out of 34,000.

Is the MoCo data verified by the schools or self-reported? Cite your source.

Get off your ass and do a simple google search. Laziness isn't a rebuttal.

It will take you all of 15 seconds to find it.

You made the claim so you can defend your source. Until then you are not credible.

Comical...it's literally how stats work. 100 to 586 is a 486% increase.

It also ended in 2023 so I think the trend will continue.

Although, I do think a lot of kids from the Northeast apply to Southern Schools but don't end up going. When push comes to shove, most stay close to home if they have an option.

My kid picked Pitt over South Carolina. For about 9 months South Carolina was his first choice. But when the time came, he couldn't pull the trigger on it.

Therefore the increase interest is statistically significant and you’re wrong.

Wrong about what...that 586 total students out of 34,000 while results in a large percentage increase, it is still an insignificant percentage of the overall student body? Wrong that it's easier to have large %age increases off a low nominal base? What's wrong?

Why are you cherry picking LSU? UTK has exploded and UofSC increased off a much larger base.
