Maret Athletic Fields

Love how this thread has already forgotten about the fields and moved on to street parking around the school. Good grief, Maret can’t win.

No one can’t win. Remember GDS and its uproar?

The more prestigious the school, the more people feel free to complain on these boards.

Well GDS was actively ignoring all agreements it had with the city, neighbors and fire occupancy code. The HoS said he had no control over where parents dropped their kids off That is highly unusual for an educator. Seems like it would encourage cheating at the school. If a student was caught cheating their could just say they were modeling the HoS’s behavior.

Fields opened for homecoming this weekend and between Friday night football and Saturday morning sunrise someone painted on the Maret scoreboard with what was obviously a premeditated and crazy message about Maret and trees with a portrait of the Lorax.

Totally unhinged and hopefully the video gives enough detail for an arrest.

Yes, and also hope that this highlights all the environmental issues ignored by maret as well.

Kudos to the Lorax artist. Maret and its greedy parents killed a lot of trees, all for crappy teams

So you are supporting the people who vandalized Maret’s new field?

Different poster. I do not support vandalizing private property. Just against unnecessary environmental damage. By the way the vandalized property says more about maret than the neighbors. With good security protocols that shouldn’t happen.

Vandalizing and criminal activity is inexcusable no matter where you sit, and any credibility the angry neighbors may have previously had is now shot. I love that one of the most vocal and bitter protestors angry about plastic fills their yard with hundreds of plastic halloween items from China each year. The irony!

The truth is that there was natural grass before and I guess it’s reasonable a request to keep a similar environment regardless you buy or not plastic items from china.

You justify the vandalism in your post. Did you do it?

No, typical trumper : I don’t care what the community thinks. I will do whatever benefits my enterprise. Eat dirt all of you scumbags.

I like the Lorax, but I do not like vandalism of a school's scoreboard... Sad face...

A lot of people worked hard to make that field a space for the community to come together, play sports, and compete in a safe environment.

Did someone from the neighborhood hire someone to do this job? Where did this malice come from? Did the field actually impact the environmental safety of the space? Or is that just speculation?
