Maret Athletic Fields

Or maybe it's just some really under-employed folks with way too much time and too few truly important causes in their lives channeling their ennui on the school community.

And also the underemployed people that like to respond to random comments.

Personally (I guess I’m a random commenter) I’m not underemployed, but a neighbor who is shocked by the behavior of this out of control group.

I mean, at this point, this behavior is pointless other than to cause harm. The trees were moved, the fields are built, the games are happening.

It’s just sad and embarrassing.

Out of control group? These rogue actors that went through an 18 month permitting process in concert with the law?

Serious question: are the bulk of these inane commenters trolls, legitimately angered neighbors pissed off that the fields are being used or parents whose kids did not get into Maret?

I guess there could be some overlap on the Venn.

The neighborhood "friends of the field" are the out of control group, to clarify.

I am not surprised by the aggressive attitude of maret parents towards the neighbors.

Good gravy. The Maret parents have done absolutely nothing except show up to a football game that lasted 3 hours and was done by sundown.

Plus trashing all the neighbors in this thread.

In Palisades there was a decrepit Sears house that was the subject of lawsuits for years over tearing it down.

In AU Park they wage parking battles against American and GDS and the Tenley library and Janney renovations were contentious.

The crazy is everywhere where there are people with $.05 and time on their hands.

Forgot to mention the development where the Super Fresh used to be in Spring Valley…that was also delayed forever by community opposition.

And, going back further, the renovation that became Cathedral Commons.
