+1 This is an example of “You can run but you can’t hide.” Israel is serving up a big heaping helping of justice which has been a long time coming.

Qatar was hosting negotiations. This is asking your enemy to meet you behind the school and then bombing the school.

Kind of smart in my opinion.

Come at the king, you best not miss. War Crimes agreements aren't because combatants are nice. It's because they want to avoid an escalation that both sides regret.
Israel operates under an assumption that no one ever hits bac with any substantial force. They might not always be right.

Who in the region has the capacity to hit back?

And who will risk escalation with Israel’s nuclear deterrent?

No state actor.

Plenty of room to criticize the morality of Israel’s actions. But in terms of practicality? Not so much.

Israel has a demographics problem that no colonizer has ever solved. It’s only a matter of time before it disbands as a Jewish supremacist state. It’s only a matter of when not what.

They know this and it scares the hell out of them.

That's when they'll use the nuke(s).

Qatar condemned Israel's bombing of Syria, then an hour later Israel bombs Qatar.

This will bring Qatar and Israel closer together. This is just the Israelis agreeing to establish diplomatic and trade relationship with Qatar. The population of Qatar will rise up and overthrow Hamas. Qatar was building nuclear weapons. Qatar is antisemitic. Qatar was falling under Turkey’s influence. High level Hamas and or weapon stockpiles were taken out by Israel. All were hiding in elementary schools, power plants and hospitals. Israel demands more bombs and arms from the US. US Congress demand Trump attack Qatar and thank the Israelis for attacking this rogue country.

Next up Saudi and Turkey!

I wonder what kind of mental illness Zionists suffer from. You want to engage the entire region at war from Turkey to Iran to Tunisia during a time the United States is weary of both war and that region? Lol. Good luck kid.

You should note that historically every Israeli state started to crumble around the eighty year mark due to wars. Netanyahu is repeating history

Please just be careful with the rhetoric. Many American Jews including me, are horrified by what Netanyahu is doing. He is a madman.

Then make it clear you are disassociating yourself from Israel. Show us by your deeds how much you object to those actions. Quit contributing to Israel, its causes, AIPAC, ADL, etc. Let those who support Netanyahu stay and become a pariah state. They can fight Iran and North Korea for the worst.

Look, I am anti_Zionism, but your post here borders on Semitic. American Jews do not have de facto loyalty to Israeli government, and do not de facto do all the things you say they need to stop. Such gross stereotyping. They don't need to prove anything to you.

Just stop. Your attacks are not convincing anyone. When the most public display that most people see from judaism are the large banners that proclaim support for Israel on the side of synagogues then why would you expect an average person to somehow not associate Judaism with support for Israel. Talk to your own people about their marketing campaigns before attacking the general public just for listening to those exact messages.

Oh, look. It’s Osama bin Progressive.

You know I made a reasonable attempt to communicate with you based on truth and reason and then you responded with your ignorant and juvenile retort. You are not doing your side any favors. In fact you are making enemies. Good job.

The Hamas political leadership in Doha has always been an easy target for Israel. They used to avoid it. Instead preferring much more difficult operations like killing the Hamas leader when he was in Tehran.

The real question is why now?

Combined with telling everyone in Gaza City to leave now, I genuinely fear that Israel has decided to go to the dark side. Like they intend to take Gaza and kill and expel 2 million people.

And that would be the end of Israel.

It becomes a pariah state then - not just among progressives. But everywhere. Israel is a country that’s drunk on their success. Religious fanatics are dangerous everywhere, and Israelis are so full of it now that they seem capable of the worst in humanity.

And that’s a terrible shame. Israel was built on so much hope, but they are squandered everything now.

And they definitely can’t count on US support. 48, 67, and 73 are a very long time ago now. The Isreal of 2025 is very different. No one under 60 thinks Israel is anything special. And no American besides some boomers cares much about Israel today. Dropping support for Israel wouldn’t be an issue for Democrats and Republicans alike in today’s elections.

Israel is being very stupid today. But the orthodox extremists don’t care. They are religious fanatics and don’t care about the real world.

Like the Palestinians, Israelis are making some profoundly stupid long term choices. The US will drop support for Israel in a heartbeat once the geriatrics like Biden and Trump are gone. Even Republicans are appalled with the mass killing that Israelis are committing.

Choices matter. Palestinians made their choices. Israelis made theirs. They are both violent idiots. And the US should stay out of it completely.

If that’s the case the why did our President accept a 400 billion dollars plane from them???

I meant millions not billions.

I hope they have the courage to take this step

Do you people not read newspapers or books at all? Do you know nothing about the conflict between Sunni and Shi’a? Are you not aware that the Saudis and the Iranians have been fighting a proxy war for decades?

There is zero chance Qatar tells the US to remove their base, which is a big one. That base is basically a security guarantee for Qatar against Iran.

Everything that’s happened since October 7th is basically about Iran. That is the prism this conflict should be looked through.

Qatar has no fear of Iran. They’ve lived next to Iranians for thousands of years. What they fear is what Iran fears and that’s Israel. Israel wants their neighbors to fear them and they want to live in fear and a security state for themselves. Let them do it but we should defund it.

We can’t let Zionism bankrupt the dilapidated US economy any further with bullshit wars. Invade Iran, Qatar, Saudi, Turkey on their own.

Tell me you’ve never traveled or talked to a Gulf Arab. Or probably read a book.

DP we are way past that. It is time for Americans Jews to actually do something.

Such as?

Take down the “we support israel” banners on the side of the local synagogue for starters? Just an idea.

The synagogues that are losing members every year because Jews are sick of the abuse that is institutional Judaism?

Yes. Those same synagogues.

Can I ask what religion, ethnic group, or community you are a member of, so I can judge you by your worst members?

Oh trust me I get plenty of that. I’m German lol.

This. They can run, but they cannot hide. Bin Laden found that out, as did Sinwar. Some people, however, never learn - nobody will mourn their elimination, given their dedication to terror in the first instance, and the pivoting to propping up the terror regime and trying to help it survive once its impotence became apparent.

Yup. Enough of partial and ineffective measures, stopping short to placate those who bemoan the impact on the initial aggressors. The terrorists are being neutralized with finality, like it or not. Sad that such action is necessary, but history has shown that anything less simply results in more terror later on.

So you admit Israel has nuclears and they are the only non signee of the non profileration treaty?

Israel is a threat to the global community and should be a global pariah on that merit alone. WHY are they not a signer of the treaty? Why do they not allow inspections and deny possession of nuclear weapons? Iran is a signee of the treaty. Russia is. Israel is not.

Until they get called out by the United States, they won’t ever feel they need to change
