You seem to have never heard of the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, in which Egypt, Transjordan, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon attacked and were defeated. Or, the Six-Day War, which resulted in the defeat of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria in - wait for it - 6 days. That's also when the Gaza Strip and the West Bank were lost by the Arabs. How about the Yom Kippur War in 1973 or the 1982 war in Lebanon? Making up historical nonsense results in just nonsense. |
Why do you all always forget to include 1956? |
Neither Hezbollah nor Hamas are "states". They are terror groups, now hugely diminished in capability and well on the way to complete eradication. They have survived this long only by hiding behind civilians, and because unlike their tactics the Israelis at least make an effort to minimize civilian casualties, whereas the terrorist objective is actually to achieve civilian casualties. Wonderful human beings, Hezbollah and Hamas. |
The Suez Crisis? Israel got to within 10 miles of the Suez Canal, defeating the Egyptian Army and breaking the Egyptian blockage of the Straights of Tiran in the process, after Egypt nationalized the Suez Canal Company. The conflict also was spurred by Israeli retaliation over Egyptian support for Palestinian terror raids on Israel's western border during the previous two years. This was a clear military defeat for Egypt, which would have been even worse had Israel not acceded to U.S. pressure for a cease-fire. |
You’re stuck in the past. 1948 and 1967 is not the Middle East of today. Those were hardened soviet fighters back then not IDF’ers on PlayStation and TikTok. The side that’s hardened fighters are Houthi, Hezbollah, Hamas not the idf . The regional dynamics have changed. In 48 and 67, Arabs had no experience with war and Israelis coming from WW2/war torn Europe did. It’s the reverse now. The course Israel’s on right now is risky for them because they are living in past glories |
You would think they would’ve learned when the iron dome didn’t intercept all of Iran’s ballistic missiles this June. They aren’t ready for long term regional war by themselves |
That's correct. While Israel has had a lot of success weakening external threats - Iran and its proxy armies, whether Hamas, Hezbollah, or the Houthis - the Netanyahu government has made Israel a pariah state. Their complete disregard for civilians in Gaza - especially children - has turned the world against Israel. So their strategic gains on the battlefield are outweighed by the moral outrage of how Israel is conducting things. Israel has expelled itself from the world of civilized countries. Most of the world despises Israel for their cruelty and their complete disregard for international norms. Their attack on Qatar cements their pariah status. Israelis were idiots for choosing this far right government. Just as Palestinians in Gaza were idiots for choosing Hamas. Everyone hates religious extremists - including Israeli religious extremists, which is what Israel is today. |
That's an interesting way to describe it. Was anyone else involved? |
Obama bombed / Predator-droned half a dozen countries, but the left said nothing.
NOTHING |
Troll no one can be this stupid. |
Israel did not choose this government. It is what the country wanted and voted in to represent them. Israel is going to attack Turkey next. All the same things are being said of Turkey as was said about Iraq, Iran, etc, etc. |
His foreign policy was basically done at the behest of Israel and the Zionists. |
|
They remain undefeated, so past is prologue at this point and for the forseeable future. Wishful thinking by terror groups doesn't defeat a modern capable and motivated professional military. |
Where do you come up with fantasies about Turkey? Just pulling random country names out of a hat to see if anyone bites? |
