It's more deserving for a kid to get it than an adult. (Granted I don't really understand the desperate need for one anyways). The kid made out quite well though.

I would have felt weird initially because it was a grown man. But would have let it go once I saw he was giving it to his son. I see why she’s disappointed though. Very very strange to call the dad on it though.

This crazed woman flipped off the crowd and got in the face of another spectator. She should have been removed from the game and possibly arrested. She's a danger to others. Can't imagine being her work colleagues or spouse.

Did she know that he was giving it to his kid? No, not when she first got angry. Is it fair that now thousands of people are calling her out for one moment of her life?

No.

And while I get the term Karen is easy to understand, it’s misogynistic. We need to do better.

It's not misogynistic to call out bad behavior. It's absurd to act like women can't be criticized for terrible behavior. We all have choices to make. Don't act like a bit___ch in front of children (and cameras) and you won't be called out. Both the Marlins and Phillies knew she was wrong and therefore gave the kid gifts.

DP" The term 'Karen" is misogynistic. This was a baseball fan acting poorly. Gender doesn't matter, as you say, so why call her a misogynistic name? Why isn't the headline "Phillies Fan gets Shamed"? Why are people focused on her gender?

PP here. Oh, ok. Don't call her "Karen," but her behavior is way beyond acting poorly. She should have been arrested.

Because if it was a man yelling at another man, no one would have noticed. It’s a middle age woman who we can label a Karen and it’s news.

She put her hands on him. Battery.

Yep. And if that had of happened to me it would have been a Mike Tyson uppercut knockout 1st round.

But when you see the entire video, is she really the bad person everyone is making her out to be? The ball landed right in her section - pretty much in the seats in front of her. The dad who got the ball had to race over to that section to get the ball. He wasn't sitting near where the ball landed at all. Dad was pretty overzealous is trying to get that ball too.

Now, if I were her, would I have walked over there demanding the ball back? No because I'm non-confrontational like that. But I would have complained to my spouse and anyone around me about the dad barging into her section to get the ball.

If I were the dad, I definitely wouldn't have raced over to that other section to get the ball either.

Anyone else think the "Karen" isn't totally in the wrong?

I agree with you. Op

Op didn't say dad was the bad guy. Only thst it wasn't clear cut. How was she to know it was tge kid's birthday? I don't think she should be vilified either

I haven't seen her name identified yet, but she deserves what is coming to her.

Really? Don't you think it is overboard?

Misogyny?! Oh, we forgot we're not allowed to criticize women who behave terribly and who should be arrested for assault/battery. (GROW UP)
