Kate Middleton's New Hair

Shame on everyone here for criticizing a cancer patients wig. That’s what you’re all doing.

Kate is very fortunate to have so many resources in battling cancer, but at the end of the day, she’s a mom of young kids fighting cancer, going to work and trying to look her best and put a smile on her face as she does that.

Maybe she thinks it looks good. Maybe she’s done playing the exhausting game of pretending she’s gone through chemotherapy with no impact on her appearance. Everyone’s youthful looks fade at some point and what’s left is your character.

It’s not blonde and I’d rather people stop calling it blonde. Thank you for attending my TED talk.

Okay, how do describe that color?

She may not have trustworthy advisors in her inner circle anymore.

Back in the day, Kate would not have been let through the door with her head like that.

But will and Kate have forged a more autonomous and independent path. So they make more of their own decisions unchallenged and less guided.

1. It's a wig pieces not the biggest deal lots of women do this. Hers isn't blended well.

2. It's not the right shade for her.

3. Good for her for trying something new

Yeah it sounds like this might be the issue.

cancer treatment will do that

+1 I think many people are unaware of the toll it takes--even the pills prescribed for longtime use can have hard effects.

Except Kate has never looked young. Never. She's got typical English / white person skin and aging and looks the 43 nearly 44 years she is. You don't have to pin everything on her cancer/ chemo

She's always seemed so rigid and controlled, part of me likes it she was like, "no. I hate these options. I want full on Real Housewives of the OC, MAGA Mormon Mommy Blogger hair. The full Kimberley Guillfoyle, but make it blonde!" Such a departure from her usual choices.

But whether it's a wig or a dye job or whatever, it looks extremely low-end and unpolished. It's too big for her face and the blond isn't well melded into the brown. The color doesn't suit her. And it's extremely unpolished compared to her usual look.

I basically hope she's okay.

I’m actually irritated that her team let this woman, who has already been through so much and who we all know is going to get picked to bits about her looks online and in tabloids, go out with this poorly done hairstyle.

It’s ill conceived and sloppy. It looks amateur and I don’t understand why such obvious and fixable mistakes were made. If I was Kate I’d be pretty upset my team totally dropped the ball here.

I’m surprised she didn’t have a professional curl her hair for the appearance. You can see from the back there are missed pieces. Maybe part of the rumors that will has completely slashed her budget…(also the supporting theory for why she has been rewearing exact same outfits this year).

This is a good point. Her assistant/stylist left somewhat recently after 15 years with Kate.

NP. This is my hair color, and I would say I have light brown hair.

There are better ways to cover grey hairs than a party city wig.

In the first picture, it looks like a an animal sitting on the top of her head. It is also much thicker than her hair pre-cancer chemo/radiation treatment. I've never known, obviously someone on DCUM will correct me, anyone to have such thick hair so soon after chemo treatment.

William has been balding since he was a young man. I wonder if he ever considered a toupee.

He should have gotten plugs like Jude Law.
