Kate Middleton's New Hair

I hate piling on when she's been sick and who knows what's going on with her health and recovery now (not are we entitled to know).

But whether it's a wig or a dye job or whatever, it looks extremely low-end and unpolished. It's too big for her face and the blond isn't well melded into the brown. The color doesn't suit her. And it's extremely unpolished compared to her usual look.

I basically hope she's okay.

My guess is extensions or a topper, not a full wig. The hair thinning may be due to chemo or chemical menopause (from chemo) or aging or any combo.

The new color is a different issue - my guess is she’s greying more due to age and blonder is easier to blend/mask.

I’ve been in the chemo shoes, and am currently in the blonder hair to mask/blend my now 90% grey hair (I also look better with dark hair, it’s just too hard to keep up with that), and have a lot of sympathy for her!

Chemo and years in the sun has done a job on her skin. Shorter, spunkier cut would be so much better!

I she looks tired - got up and got three kids to school (I think UK schools are back in?) and commuted in for an early appearance. I think the hair looks like she went a little lighter for summer and let it grew and didn’t realize the hairdresser was going to be away on holiday before this appearance Plus tried heatless overnight curls that were a bit too tight but necessary for the busy morning. I think the color is lackluster with the drab outfit as someone said earlier. But I’m a brunette and favor darker hair! Also, she has been thru a lot and knows she is under a microscope every time she is seen. She’s still in amazing shape and you can see how she interacts so graciously with the children at the exhibit.

I usually love Kate Middleton's style and taste, but this color is all wrong for her. She looks fantastic with her natural brunette color.

Unfortunately, this is the result when most brunettes decide to go blonde. They wind up looking ashen and washed out.

We could all take a lesson from Liz Hurley and her hairstyle as she has aged—particularly women with tiny faces.

Liz Hurley has always had longish hair. What style are you referring to?

The back of it is really rough. No shame in fake hair wearing at all, I do it myself. But she needs a specialist and someone with expertise in extensions to come style it for events.

Also a solid curl is important to hair extension blending. It looks like they just stuck curly extensions under her straight hair. There is a reason you never see Kristi Noem with her hair straight. The fakeness becomes obvious. Same with the girls on the Mormon wives show.

She has nannies, plural. She most definitely is not waking up to take care of 3 kids. At most she said good morning and waved them off with a driver.

Then a different driver chauffeured her to this event.

An exhausting day indeed.

Literally nobody said it looks good but she just had cancer, she has three children, she's doing her best. I much prefer her with short, dark, shiny hair.

Your average Hollywood actress has a bunch of added hair pieces and wigs on the red carpet without most people noticing. It can be done well, but it is expensive.

I don’t think the shade suits her and it’s really long past time for her to cut her hair to a length appropriate to a middle aged woman. The style in that pic of Rose Byrne’s hair would be perfect on Kate.

Maybe she just lacks the confidence of a Diana.
