What exactly is the democratic party going to stand for in 2026 and 2028?

He is also attempting to cover up the fact he just got rid of all our tradesmen.

It’s sad it’s called tradesman. Back in the day, they were called union men or union workers. What happened to that? Unions were the original DEI. Democrats left the picket lines for Hollywood and left main street for Wall Street. Where do Democrats Stand on workers rights and fair wages? Spewing diet Bernie sanders slogans is not enough

You do realize that boycotting Jews is how Hitler started the holocaust, right?

Of course you do.

You can be against the Israeli governments treatment of Gaza without being anti-Jewish. Many Jews, including many in Israel, don't support Israeli government policies towards Gaza. Unfortunately, people like you equate being against the Israeli governments policies towards Gaza as being anti-Jewish.

The democrats embracing big tech in the Obama era was the beginning of the end . That’s when Dems became “elitist”. Now anything remotely right wing is “misinformation”. It seems like government controlling the media, censorship /communism

They don't know what to be against because every day something new pops up. Democrats need to focus on the 2026 mid-terms where 33 senate seats will be in play with 20 of them currently held by Republicans. All of the House seats will be up and the Republicans only have a few seat current advantage. Don't focus on Trump, focus on the issues and where Republicans stand on them.

If the Democrats regain the House they can focus committees on the corruption, abuse of power, DOGE and everything else that is wrecking the country. At the same time they need to take a hard line on immigration and raising taxes on the wealthy to reduce the national debt.

IMO They need to stop focusing on what to be against and start focusing on creating a plan of what to be for.

From the 2024 Catalyst report (https://catalist.us/data/) "Harris lost in 2024 due to a combination of support and turnout drops among key groups, particularly “rotating voters.” The nature of Democratic coalitions is different from Republican coalitions. In recent years, successful Democratic elections have seen a combination of (1) support shifts towards the Democrats among core regular voters, and (2) a consistent refresh of new voters that lean towards Democrats – including young people, voters of color, urban voters, and people who move regularly. In 2024, Harris lost support among presidential repeat voters, meaning those who also voted in 2020, and the new set of “rotating Democrats” did not materialize as they had in previous elections."

I think the Dems have yet to truly come to terms with the fact that their 2024 campaign messaging (democracy, trump = bad, NATO/foreign wars all good) just did not work. They need more.

I think an economic message attacking price gorging (Harris started on this but then pulled back) and acknowledgement of the Dem policies that have not worked (Obama care has not lowered healthcare costs for example) combined with proposals for policies that have not yet been tried (did we really let Trump co-opt baby bonds? millionaire taxes? and why on earth do we spend so much on the military?) are at least A message.

Why do we spend so much on welfare/entitlements?

70% of the entire federal budget is transfer payments.

Healthcare is our big crisis. Premiums are rising and this is via employer as well as the ACA. This is not sustainable.

Free health care for millions of impoverished illegals had impacts on health care costs and housing shortages.

Couldn't see that coming. DUH.

Another crisis on the horizon is defaults on student loans, after they were told they didn't need to pay for four years.

Democrats and free lunch go together. What's next?

Another subprime mortgage crisis?

The D party will only survive if we seriously protect healthcare, extricate ourselves from the Israeli $hit$how and stand for the first amendment which includes religious freedom. We can really help the middle class by reducing government spending on defense weapons. We need to get rid of the current out of touch democratic strategists that ran a disastrous campaign and still made
plenty of money.

If we don’t we don’t do this all we will permanently lose the under 40 crowd. We will continue to bleed brown people and we will look like an out of touch party for white liberals in Bethesda which we basically are right now.

How about we get patient focused groups running hospitals instead of venture capitalists and banks.
