A few years ago I had the honor of attending my nephew’s passing out at Sandhurst in England. The speech to the cadets there was given by a senior officer. It was moving, inspirational and APPROPRIATE.

They were probably all sitting there thinking, “Maryland got Kermit the Frog and we ended up with this?”

OMG Fox News is so big mad about Kermit the Frog, it’s hilarious.

Kermits speech was well done....I'd take Kermit over Dumpy or Youngkin any day

My thought exactly! Trump has no filter and rambles on about whatever is crossing his mind. Silence of the Lambs. Arnold Palmer’s junk. Melanie’s perfidy.

Ivana was Ivanka's mother. She died in the last few years. He left Ivana for Marla Maples.

It was huge news in the tabloids at the time. Ivana and Donald were in the news a lot before that. I remember seeing Ivana on Regis and Kathie Lee when they were still married.

Yes trumps been trash since the 80's.

They are also all ex-military including 2 who graduated from West Point. His speech and behavior during graduation combined with his posted message on Memorial Day and his behavior at the wreath laying ceremony were the nails in the coffin for them being blind party-line supporters.

Whatever. Too little and far too late. Trump has done nothing different this weekend that he hasn’t done plenty of times his first time around.

Yep. I was just a teenager then and could tell he was an awful person. By 2010, I knew the whole family was trashy crooks. I have no idea what anyone sees in these people. Even if you worship wealth, this family got it by being a-holes. Yuck.

You can dislike his speech and much of his behavior and still support his policies.

Or maybe realizing that you share political views with such a demented personality should be a prompt for self-reflection.

Nope, I do not support dismantling soft power, or deporting US citizens or anyone without due process, nor dismantling our education system, our social safety net, or scientific research infrastructure, our clean air and water etc. Not sure what policies you favor, but there isn't a single one where Trump is aligned with the majority opinion in the US.

I do not support dismantling soft power:
How did that "soft power" work out with Ukraine invasion? Depends on whether it is a major or minor incursion? like our former administration? Soft power which gave up our airfield in Afghanistan in favor of our embassy--so we wouldn't have a "Saigon embassy" event?
Letting NATO continue paying less than we pay?

I prefer a strong military that hopefully does not have to act, but is well trained to fight.

Deporting US citizens The children were not deported. Their parents chose to take them with them.
I prefer safe, secure borders.

dismantling our education system
That was done during the last administration. Getting rid of the Dept of Education is a wise move. Get rid of the bureaucracy and send the funds to the states.

our social safety net Is still secure--probably more so if the bloat is eliminated.

scientific research infrastructure, Badly needs restructuring. Lots of waste and unneeded and unhelpful studies. Research will continue.

clean air and water etc Feds didn't do so well in Flint or Palestine, Ohio.

What do I prefer?
A strong military that focuses on the mission--and unity over diversity. That means include all to focus on team building and a common goal Not to focus on their differences.
an education system that teaches kids academics over social issues. A system that listens to parents. A system that keeps bathrooms separated by sex--not wannabe gender.
A system that honors Title IX for girls and keeps boys out of girls' sports.
A strong border.

Not sure what policies you favor, but there isn't a single one where Trump is aligned with the majority opinion in the US.

I am pretty sure the majority in the US prefers my policies over yours.
