I wonder how they would react to discovering that their bourgeois credentialism they use to attack Kirk no longer works. It would be an interesting experiment to see how the liberal DCUMs react dismissively to a figure who intentionally presents as a stupid Neanderthal but possesses a mathematics degree from MIT and PhD from Yale. |
And for varied perspectives add to this list Ross Douthat and David French. |
Can't imagine showing up to SEC fraternity rush and admitting to the active brothers that I follow any of those guys. Maybe Stewart if this were 2005. |
| People shouldn't be obligated to go to college. Plenty of jobs don't require it. |

If Kirk is so against college then why is he going on - a college tour - right now?
Oh, and a part of his college tour shtick is this: A comedian comes on stage, cracks jokes about how college is useless and then pivots to what he thinks a woman's role in society is: "Hey, I took a women's studies class. I thought I was going to learn about how to do laundry, clean, and cook. I didn't learn any of those things. What a scam." And then har--har-har by a bunch of men wearing red MAGA caps. No thanks - and I'm appalled that this dog and pony show is coming to a college in my home state. |
That is true. Take your high school grad to to see the Charlie Kirk college tour. |
No one is obligated to go to college? |
good lord can you imagine BAP’s reaction to being discussed on an anonymous internet mom forum |
You don't go there. This is all so much made up stupidity. We did the best job we could in dealing with a deadly virus. F off for being one of those asshats who likes to pretend it's like the flu. |
DP. Covering up the lab as a source is a legitimate complaint. Making up the 6-foot guidance is not, precisely because we didn't know what we were really dealing with and you do the best you can with what you've got at the time. Closing schools may or may not have been necessary; but imo it was the right move given the initial circumstances. The problem wasn't closing schools, it was not reopening them sooner. And there are always risks with vaccines. But you balance the risks with the benefits and in the midst of a global pandemic whereby people are catching the disease quickly and are dying by the thousands each day, the benefits outweigh the risks. |
We did and they loved it! |
