not leaving…yet. We are dual EU/US so we’re prepared to leave DC and the US if we need to.

A lot of people who move to DC are always looking for a reason or way to move back to their hometown. I'd have to believe a lot of feds are saying f it and using this time to do just that.

I know multiple long term families fleeing Capitol Hill because of the crime.

It’s driven by economics and housing unaffordability, not race.

Well that's how it is in the city of Alexandria. Free busses, housing, basic income, free internet, free food, free cell phone. People with money are leaving. 3-4% of the cities population has fled already.
