Who is secretly a little relieved to see the end of DEI policies and trainings?

Thing is, I am not Hispanic - I am a white woman with absolutely zero Hispanic background. I was asked to attend all of the Hispanic DEI meetings and represent our group - no one wanted to do this so my manager's manager voluntold me to do it. Let me make it clear that this wasn't a 'learning about Hispanic culture thing' - no this was some sort of support group for Hispanic employees. I did not feel comfortable doing this at all, and told him this. He said he'd 'get back to me.' Never did, nothing ever came of it.

Not DEI, but this happened to me to be the millennial representative for my group on an agency wide task force back in the day. I’m not a millennial. I just happened to be the youngest person in my work group. But I was supposed to tell this task force what would attract millennials to work for us. I have no idea, I’m not one!

Yes, this is the problem. Progressives cared way too much about stuff that impacted a tiny fraction of the population, while the vast majority of the population's main worry was inflation and crime, which Progressives really didn't do much about. The soft on crime attitude like for shoplifting and petty theft was taking a toll on people. Even CA passed a law recently to impose more severe punishment on shoplifters.

The problem with Progressives is that they don't know where to draw the line. People don't care about how you identify yourself, but Progressives pushed that in everyone's faces. Meanwhile, people's cars are constantly being broken into, and shoplifters just walk out of the stores with a trashbag full of stuff because criminals know that progressives will go soft on them.

That's why Dems lost.

If you want to understand why Trump won, DEI would be one of the top issues. My cousin who is a professor in a STEM field, who had been a hard core left wing liberal, got fed up with democrats. He voted for republicans, thought not for Trump.

No, they don’t. GMAFB.

You can't insist to someone that they do not feel the way they feel about their own race in a situation.
See how that works?

It’s RWNJ creative fiction.

It is neither nice nor respectful to threaten people’s livelihood for using the wrong pronouns.

That is the definition of tyranny and fear.

No one was threatened with firing for using the wrong pronouns by mistake.

+1 backlash against going to far left. FWIW, I'm a non white female.

+2 It was a good idea implemented in a heavy-handed way with no common sense.

Weird. I remember being in middle school and being teased mercilessly for being “gay,” even before I was sure I was. I got called a lot more explicit slurs too. None of the Republican adults I knew seemed to care that those kids knew what the terms meant. And trust me, they overheard plenty.

In the meantime, some people are concerned about what the American people should really be concerned about. DEI was always about getting younger people in the office, and it really doesn't matter. By default, younger people are more diverse. There will more than likely be many more lawsuits filed. Nothing has changed about people's poor behavior. I don't know why people think "getting rid of DEI" means getting rid of anyone who is a prior military white male straight Christian.

As of January 27, 2025, the average price for a dozen Grade A large eggs in Washington, D.C., is approximately $4.15. This reflects a significant increase from $3.65 in November 2024 and $2.15 in January 2024.
Source: AGWEB

Over the past two weeks, egg prices have continued to rise due to ongoing outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), which have severely impacted poultry populations and egg production nationwide. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) projects that retail egg prices could increase by an additional 20% in 2025.
Source: AGWEB

Given these factors, consumers in Washington, D.C., and across the country are experiencing higher egg prices compared to two weeks ago, with expectations of continued increases in the near future.

And it’s this kind of stupidity on the left that got us Trump 2.0. Thanks a lot “LWNJ”.
