There is the legality of free speech (aka restrictions on the government) but there is also the issue of our cultural stance on freedom of speech and expression.

Deep fake videos and images are rampant everywhere on social media. Billions of people will now have problems what is actual reality vs fake content and AI. It is scary. Oh, and this is all on top of social media and tech companies using everything about their platforms to spy on you and learn what makes you psychologically tick. +1 I was done having kids, but if I were trying to conceive, especially if I was having trouble conceiving, the months my period was erratic after the vaccine would have been a very big deal to me.

A big deal to you doesn’t mean it’s a big deal in the grand scheme. Your doctor would have reassured you that things would go back to normal within a few months. Women trying to conceive get a little crazy about it (I remember this when going through it myself) and sometimes lose perspective. The vaccine was not and is not a threat to women’s fertility. If you are so easily manipulated that you now have distrust in the medical community over this, you have bigger problems.

It isn’t up to facebook to decide whether something is a “big deal” or not. I will decide for myself whether something is important to me.

Hunter’s laptop is a perfect example. It revealed a candidate’s son committed numerous crimes just before an election. Whether that is important or not is up to individuals to decide, but Facebook censored it.

That’s totally fair. But if you want to put in partisan fact checkers that put out false information (i.e., Covid had nothing to do with Wuhan laboratories) or if you want to suppress speech by manipulating your algorithms to silence opposing points of view without disclosure or under government pressure, that’s not practicing the two way street.
