Exactly.  Don’t retreat back to the “they are private companies” argument when this entire thread is about the chosen actions of private companies and whether or not we support their decisions.  There is the legality of free speech (aka restrictions on the government) but there is also the issue of our cultural stance on freedom of speech and expression.[/quote]

FB can do what they want. And consumers can abandon them - like many did in 2016 and again yesterday.

The murky area is that what’s been happening on FB has real life consequences for society and FB is never held accountable.  So they want all the freedom to radicalize their customers who commit crimes and hurt people, with zero responsibility or accountability. F that.  [/quote]
