No WWIII. Israel is deliberately limiting targets it strikes, sending a message rather than inflicting a comprehensive military defeat this time. Iran is incapable of projecting significant power; it can harass opponents directly and through proxies but lacks the capacity to win a direct sustained conflict against Israel. This is just another round in tit-for-tat gestures, which neither side will interpret as sufficiently impressive to cause an enduring cessation of hostilities.
Ultimately, Israel has a nuclear deterrent and has ample historical reason to employ it defensively if a threat is seen as existential. Even then, the conflict is unlikely to expand outside the region. |
I think it is generational. I think most Silent Generation, Baby Boomers and Gen X might have feelings of Zionism. However, I doubt Millennials and Gen Z are Zionists. They don't want the USA involved in the ME or Israel's issues. |
These strikes by Israel are not in anyone’s interest.
The strikes in Gaza are over the top , unnecessary and illogical |
So does the IDF, genius! Have you been paying attention to CNN, which probably has to have 10 - 20 thousand forms of vetted proof before publishing anything negative about the conduct of Israel. Congratulations! You’re literally no better than “the terrorists”. For the rest of us, that’s not even news. We knew you were the actual terrorists all along. |
DP It’s truly astonishing to see posts like this one. Zionists who unconditionally support Israel’s policies and actions (including those for whom widespread atrocities are not a deal breaker) actually believe that this unprecedented period of institutionalized corruption in favor of their interests will last forever. They believe that the die is cast; and that nothing they do will jeopardize their standing in the world, much less their own personal safety and security. Yikes. These are batshit crazy times, indeed. |
Why do you keep saying this? Israel is incapable of seriously hurting Iran by airstrikes(unless they drop about 12-20 nukes). This was an all out attack that had been the sole focus of the IDF general staff for 4 weeks. All of the Israeli Air Force was involved to project this limited amount of force. All the hawks in Israel have been wait decades to attack Iran and this is the sum total of their abilities to strike Iran. This is why Israel wants the US to attack Iran. Meanwhile Iran can respond with cheap ballistic missiles that the Israelis are unable to knock down. This shows the limits of Israel power. They are nothing without the US. Just another 3rd world country. |
What happened to .."we had no wars under Trump"? LOL Trump will just negotiate away our allies, under cutting them. Or, let out terrorists from prison like he did with the Taliban. |
MAGAs going to MAGA. They just spew word salad and hope it sticks. |
Perfectly normal behavior...Israelis taking photos with a burning Gaza like tourists.

Trump will end it with Iran. With force if necessary. |
That Americans think they are seen as the protectors of humanity when every war has been about profits for billionaires, stealing resources and preserving a genocidal ethnostate which the media has protected via cultivation of a false image of rainbows shooting out of every Israeli's a$$, is so perfectly American in its naivete. |
+1000. And once Trump takes care of Iran, then he can deal with China. |
[mastodon]
The Iraq war was for President Bush's Texas oil companies and VP Cheney's military contractor companies, not for Israel. |
I don’t believe that what is going on is in any way going to ensure lasting peace in the region

Hahahahahahahaha good one pp. |
