Hayfield Football Coach Fired

Anonymous
My non football kid said that the Hayfield team is viewed by the other schools as a joke due to cheating, and that the kids consider any Hayfield wins illegitimate. The kids say that the actual champion will be the team that finishes the season in 2nd place.

Ask the Chantilly coach what he said that that severe of an a$$whippin.

Goodness! Surely you weren't offended by the statement that they were playing a team of mysterious transfers! Thats simply a fact. Or were you the one who was freaked out by the Chantilly cheerleaders sign? Lol.

Your team is a laughingstock and "cringe". The coaches are afraid to coach actual regular teams because their incompetence would be so obvious.

They are a joke. The coaches, the players, the coaches trying to smoke pot and do god knows what with minors. all the creepy adult hangers-on caling themselves the team preacher or whatnot. Its just a whole crowd of laughingstocks and we are all snickering at you.

If Edison beat Hayfield last year, the game should have been similar this year since it should largely be the same kids again except for graduated seniors. A lopsided result from year to year just shows the extent of the absurdity.

Edison is much worse this season. They also beat Langley last season, this year Langley trounced them.

Did the head coach apologize for hiring a druggie who creeped on teen boys?

It’s just football. The team clearly isn’t cheating and they’ve built a powerhouse. If they were losing there wouldn’t be any outrage. Since they are winning, the white supremacies want to find a way to discredit the success

I think the issue is more that, when you have a school skirting the rules and stacking the deck to this degree, it sours the enthusiasm of kids at a lot of other schools to play. Won't be surprised if in the next few years schools like Justice, Annandale, and Lewis have a problem assembling a team. Or maybe they'll go the TJ route and seek permission to play an alternative schedule against groups of homeschoolers and tiny private schools that put little or no emphasis on football.

But I'm sure that's fine with some so long as Hayfield can win a state title or compete against an Oscar Smith.

My kid heard that too

DP and same. I'm glad I don't have a kid at the school because if it's true the principal and coach will bend over backwards to protect him for something that would get any non-football star expelled.

That’s more so jealousy when kids know their team doesn’t have the talent to compete against another school. And people don’t seem to have any problem with Madison stacking the deck and skirting the rules

No, it's generally understood that Hayfield took things to an entirely different level this year, and also relishes in beating opponents by over 40 points. Madison is far more subdued.

Nonsense. The kids understand cheating, and know the adults who run FCPS sports let this coach get away with it. No one is jealous of a team full of cheaters, the kids know their "organic" (thanks Chantilly for the phrase) teams of neighborhood students can't expect to compete with a team of DMV all stars/cheaters. They get it and they are embarrassed for the cheater kids.

I missed the expose articles about Madison's cheating scandal and 30+ new players. Can someone link it so I can compare the two situations the pp seems to find comparable?

Is this...English? I hope you aren't one of the carpetbaggers who were hired into teaching positions. YIKES.

By high school age, most serious athletes have the integrity to not want to be associated with a squad of cheaters and poor sports. Coaches included.

No one, especially colleges, care what your kid or any others say. But thanks for sharing.
