I think this is going to be a very tight race and I'll be following VA very closely because it's definitely not going to be a landslide Biden state because as I read posts here there are many who feel as above poster feels. |
Yes - BOTH at fault...but not voting isn't the answer either because it's a civic duty although I too am very tempted to just sit it out this year. I'm a moderate who voted for Trump then voted for Biden. Who will I vote for this election? I, like so many moderates, will simply be voting according to my conscience. |
Warren combines the likability of Hillary Clinton with the far left policies of Sanders We were better off with Uncle Joe in 2020, and he will lead us to victory on 2024! #winwithbiden |
I do think there’s a big overlap between people who choose to live a healthy life (taking responsibility for their own actions and health) and those who are increasingly frustrated by all the government handouts. The Covid handouts were asinine - all they had to do was allow people to actually work again, not give stimulus money!
And Biden just gave out another billion dollars today in loan forgiveness. And he has to do these loan forgiveness programs in sneaky ways because people are sick of subsidizing those who don’t take responsibility for themselves. It’s the same thing as paying medical bills for those who drink soda and eat junk all day, or even smoke - why should people who choose a healthier lifestyle be forced to pay for those who don’t? And for that matter, why are people actually allowed to buy any soda or obvious junk food with food stamps to start with? The left won’t attract healthy, independent thinking people back until it addresses those types of things. |
It's so weird, because the 2 families I know in NOVA with openly trans children are both Republican. Like, politically-involved Republicans. The hypocrisy among them - and JD Vance epitomizes it - blows my mind. |
Today's Republicans are basically pre-1960s Democrats. |
Warren [in a lame attempt to be more relatable to regular people]: "I'm gonna have me a beer." Proceeds to open and drink a beer like it's the first one she's ever had. |
They can't do that because they believe in everyone paying for everyone's bills. Just turn your entire pay check to Washington and let them best decide how to spend it. The left is never going to attract independent thinking people. They move like pack animals with straight down the line voting records. This is much different than a Bill Clinton party. |
It's not hypocrisy...it's the ignorance of thinking all Republicans are LGBTQ hating racists. Me and my DH are Republicans although not politically-involved. We respect all LGBTQ as a protected class....but let's not forget that religion is also a protected class. Treating one protected class better than or to the detriment of another protected class is just as discriminatory. The Dems who continue to force their values and ideals on everyone (especially the youth in public schools) has become truly unbearable for many. The whole pronoun insanity is a great case in point - there was a great funny video on youtube that my cousin shared: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/syzeK3ebv6I?feature=share I'm not Indian but if I still had kids in school I'd tell them they should use "Doctor" too haha! So yes, while there is insanity with Trump/Republicans....there is insanity with Biden/Democrats too. So which insanity do you prefer? This coming from someone who voted for Trump then voted for Biden. |
Nice try, troll. This race not even close to be tight. Biden supporters dropping like dead flies. Trump have been leading polls for several months now, and we are losing swing states. |
Where is the hypocrisy? A lot of republicans are not against LGBTQ despite what CNN told you and not for completely banning abortions. Get educated better before you come to such conclusions. |
Not a troll and to be clear I should have said "I think this is going to be a very tight race in NOVA and I'll be following NOVA (historically landslide Dem). |
CNN? How about congress. |
How is allowing kids who are trans to be called by their preferred pronouns forcing anyone to do anything? Maybe it’s forcing people who think trans people don’t deserve to live freely or be seen as equals to recognize them and not discriminate against them. It’s not interfering with anyone’s religious freedom. Unless your religion is focused on discriminating against anyone you think is a sinner. But again, public school so GTFO. They aren’t making kids trans. Forcing kids to hide their identities is better? Only if you believe they should be forced to be non-trans. Who cares? I am a parent. If my kids turn out to be trans or gay or whatever it’s not because of the school. This culture war sh** is so stupid, and meant to agitate stupid people. Mind your own business and stop trying to control other people’s bodies and sex lives FFS. Freedom applies to them, too. If this is what you’re getting amped up about (BLM “lawlessness” and immigrant and trans rights) maybe you need some self reflection. And also some friends who are black and gay. |
dp.. do those R parents with trans children think their children should use the bathroom of the gender assigned at birth, or what they identify as? If the former then, I don't think there's much hypocrisy there; it's the uber right wing conservatives who don't believe in the concept of trans in children. If the latter, then there's some cognitive dissonance there since the R platform is that trans people should not be able to use the bathroom of the gender they identify with. |
