The problem is our broken system which is the fault of both sides. It allows people to show up at the border and ask for asylum, and we can't turn them away without due process and adjudication. Meanwhile our laws also say asylum seekers can't work. There were bipartisan proposals to start fixing that but Trump had the MAGA Republicans controlling the House shut it down. You can't just blindly blame Joe without acknowledging the bigger picture and that Republicans have a huge hand in it. And meanwhile you also can't just gesture wildly at Trump's agenda as the answer because it's just a blunt-force mass-deportation instruments that would cause tremendous labor shortages, consumer cost increases and inflation and cause damage to the economy rather than offering a more workable and needed solution like expanding worker visas. If you're mad about the whole thing then you shouldn't be voting for anyone in either party because they are BOTH at fault.
Yes - BOTH at fault...but not voting isn't the answer either because it's a civic duty although I too am very tempted to just sit it out this year. I'm a moderate who voted for Trump then voted for Biden. Who will I vote for this election? I, like so many moderates, will simply be voting according to my conscience.
