That successful economy was 100% Obama's, and Trump crashed it. It's turned back around since Biden took office. |
I remember Dore in the TYT days and he'd go off on straight up communist rants - I thought he was a wackjob then and he's still a total wackjob now. |
This is a sizable population group. I live in California and it’s quite common. |
This dichotomy is very common in the "wellness" industry, which overlaps a lot with the MLM crowd. Generally not well educated but do a lot "my own research".

Your friend is like me, right down to saving dragonflies and picking up trash at the beach.
I haven’t read the replies but you forgot raw milk in your OP. People are allowed to shoot heroin in the open in some of our blue cities but in most parts of the country we’re not legally allowed to buy milk that comes directly from a cow. It’s insanity. Another point is that Biden finally said in an interview before he was elected that he did NOT believe in vaccine mandates. And then in just a couple months he had mandated it for tons of people (including anyone working for a company that does government projects, even if you were not working on those projects directly). People don’t forget or forgive stuff like that. |
Just clipping this to say I am amused and enjoy your descriptive caricatures of each candidate's supporters, OP. You made me laugh, which is always appreciated. |
There are people who think that the government has room for improvement, but ultimately does more good than harm, and that the little individual needs a big collective organization to protect them from evil and powerful corporations or from diseases and disasters that come from the natural world.
There are people who think the government does more damage through ill-considered policies, immoral corruption and collusion with big business, or inadvertent bumbling, and the smaller and less intrusive that government is, the better off the individual is. |
Dems brought it on themselves, Biden is played like a fiddle by the far left. Too many handouts to random people like fake asylum seekers and irresponsible parents; overstepping with Covid restrictions;a ridiculous approach to trans issues, you name it.
I use some of the handouts so I’ll vote dem mostly (unless it’s super local) but it’s frankly ridiculous. No normal person wants to subsidize all these people. |
I feel the same way about the democrats (used to be a very enthusiastic dem voter) but I just can’t get behind Trump. I don’t actually believe he has any real core beliefs, and will simply say what gets him the most adulation at any time. I’ll probably vote green again. I’m in Maryland, so my presidential vote doesn’t make any difference. |
And there is no policy platform now! RNC is nothing but an evangelical's wet dream. |
That's right. Everyone who disagrees with you is a bot. Sorry OP -- would have enjoyed having a conversation with you about this political shift. There are a lot of us. |
Agree. I don’t appreciate my hard earned money being taken then allocated as the government sees fit- at least not beyond what is necessary to keep up infrastructure and safety. |
This!! It’s all moved to a direction where I feel like we are subsidizing so much. It’s as if no one should be responsible for taking care of themselves and their own kids anymore. Just sit back, vote Dem, and Uncle Joe will take care of it. |
The problem is our broken system which is the fault of both sides. It allows people to show up at the border and ask for asylum, and we can't turn them away without due process and adjudication. Meanwhile our laws also say asylum seekers can't work. There were bipartisan proposals to start fixing that but Trump had the MAGA Republicans controlling the House shut it down. You can't just blindly blame Joe without acknowledging the bigger picture and that Republicans have a huge hand in it. And meanwhile you also can't just gesture wildly at Trump's agenda as the answer because it's just a blunt-force mass-deportation instruments that would cause tremendous labor shortages, consumer cost increases and inflation and cause damage to the economy rather than offering a more workable and needed solution like expanding worker visas. If you're mad about the whole thing then you shouldn't be voting for anyone in either party because they are BOTH at fault. |
We are subsizing more than ever for all our citizens too. |
