Question for someone who knows: is there anything voters can do to actually convince Biden to step aside?

This is a great read, and, damn, does it ever capture my exact thoughts.

+1, I just sent this to DH and said this covers all of my thoughts. I also love the focus on the fact that Biden is asking us to re-up him for 4 more years, with whatever seen in the past year WTF would we ever think he will be up to job 4 more years down the road?! In the words of Casey Kasem, it’s effing ponderous!

this coordinated effort by the press to tell Biden to drop out but not Trump is very telling. And y'all are falling for it.

I would've taken them seriously if they had done that with Trump first.

The media doesn’t want MAGA to win, So they aren’t advising Trump.
They are advising Biden, because they want democrats to win.
Get it?

Many of us have felt this way even before Joe selfishly decided to run again….and his being 82 on Election Day!

Take your condescension and shove it.

The primary results beg to differ. You shove it.

The country needs to unite and rally around Trump. The media have painted him to be a monster, but he really isn’t.

+1 that’s what I’m saying.

You can’t trust people who are doing what democrats are doing- to their own country! And Joe is at death’s door. They are hurting him and don’t care, you think they care about you? Hell no.

If you really believe this, there is nothing that anyone can say to change your mind. You can't argue with a cult member.

The problem is, Biden isn’t really the problem. It’s his senility that was the problem (still don’t understand how y’all are JUST realizing this but ok). He’s really just been a proxy & that is the problem. Any replacement will likely make it worse. Unless they put up a true moderate to gain back votes and it turns out that person isn’t just lucid but very strong-willed with a steel spine, kicks the progressive nihilists to the curb, and gets this country back to sanity and decorum. That person, I’d vote for.

She needs to agree to a graceful exit in order for Biden to step aside. He’s probably already had the conversation that he can’t step aside to let her run because she has a worse shot than he does. At least before the debate that was true, not sure where we are now but I suspect the same place.

Kamala Harris is young, articulate and will secure a large portion of the non-white vote. She has a much better shot than Biden!

Excellent point. However I've seen Trump talk and he is in confirmed cognitive decline.

I am not trusting the media. I am trusting my eyes and ears, PP.

Neither Trump nor Biden are remotely fit for the Presidency. It's flabbergasting we've let ourselves come to this. There is collective guilt here from the American people. We need to acknowledge that.

And now one party has a chance to fix their side. We need Biden to step aside and we need to pick someone actually fit for the job. The GOP is a lost cause.

And Hilary won the popular vote by millions. The problem is that there are a tiny number of states that decide this and they control the candidate choice. If Hilary can't win the swing states then you can't win the electoral college. That is exactly why Joe Biden was selected in 2020...to win the swing states.

Can kamela win the swing states

We have a two party system and neither is a cult. America has had various political parties throughout history and we currently have republicans and democrats. We do have numerous minor parties but the big 2 are republicans and democrats. Only communist countries have one party.

And yet the media did not ask for Trump to step down. Did you wonder why?
