Why do people think it’s ok to not wear a mask on a flight when they are clearly sick?

Use a free test.

Seriously. If you can afford a flight, you can afford a test!

Sure I can afford it. Still not doing it. If this were 2020, maybe. Today. Not a chance I’m testing.

DP and there are lots of us. That the reality of today.

Jerks? Yes, there have always been lots of selfish, entitled jerks. But you're really proud of being a cheap tw@t over a $12 test and a $2 mask that could keep a whole plane from getting sick. And you've had several years to understand this simple act, and still don't quite get it. But you keep flying so other places can experience your stupidity, because you're that important.

You'll probably start stupid drama with anyone wearing a mask, too. It kinda sounds like you're just a weak person who needs a small fight over nothing so you can feel like a winner. You win the stupid prize, PP. Congrats! Idiot.

DP. You may not like it, but that poster is right. Most people aren’t testing themselves or their kids anymore.

You aren't listening. They aren't going to not get on the flight. It's not about a $12 test. The point is, they are going home sick or not. A positive result changes nothing.

You make a lot of ASSumptions here buddy. Wasn't bragging just stating facts of what we do. Don't like it? Oh well, that's your problem. IDGAF if you wear a mask. I wouldn't give you a second glance and certainly wouldn't say anything to you. Covid NEVER comes up in my daily life so no it's never a fight for me. Never discuss it with anyone outside of you lunatics here.

Yes, for you, it changes nothing, and you are all that you care about. For rational people who might still have to get on a plane while sick (and I understand that people can't afford to stay where they are if they get sick during travel), a positive test might prompt them to use a well-fitting mask during travel and forego eating and drinking in-flight or in close proximity to others.

You're incredibly stupid if you think people are doing this because they just don't know any better.

No, sadly, I know that they just care. I just keep reading comments about why there is absolutely no reason to test as if it has no benefit at all. The benefit of testing is to take measures to protect other people, but if your worldview doesn't extend past yourself, then I guess there is minimal benefit.

Stop pissing in the wind then. Nobody's mind is getting changed on this at this point. You do you.

This. I mean, I'm gonna mask anyway (deal therewith), but if I wasn't already planning to, but learned I had covid, I would mask and keep that thing on the whole dang flight and be very careful who I spoke with and how close I got. Simple measures to save other people potential suffering.

I'm not here to change minds. I say a little "prayer" every time I read one of these jerks' comments.
