Practicing their belief by attempting to eradicate other people’s beliefs?

No. That is not worth my limited tolerance. It’s evil
.

This x1000000

If you want to practice your beliefs, privately, for yourself, I have all the respect on the world. Missionaries and proselytizing is profoundly hateful and violent to communities.

Why? Are these communities so fragile that they can’t stand a visit from Christians? What are you so afraid of?

They purposely go to fragile communities to preach. You don’t see missionaries going to wealthy Hindu or Buddhist neighborhoods to save lives. Are their souls not worthy or is it because the poor are easier to control?

So what? Again, what are you so afraid of? That people will hear and accept the truth and turn from your level of hatred?

You’re the hateful one. And people are afraid of your hatred and aggression.

You have no idea how stupid you sound, do you?

See, your hatred and aggression are on full display. And you people are trying to tell others how to live their lives? You’re a bad person.

I don’t know why freedom to learn about another religion is considered crass, but anyone who supports freedom and self-determination as a human right (as the UN does) is not crass.

You can change your own religion, but you can't change others.

Foisting your religion on others - especially vulnerable people - is unethical.

Mind your own culture/beliefs.

You are closed minded and insular. You don’t make decisions for anyone but yourself. You are proudly against basic human rights, weird.

You misunderstand basic human rights. They are for an individual to make choices for themselves. They don't give you the right to convert others.

Christians don’t convert people to Christianity. God does. Christians can’t make people believe in God if they don’t want to believe in God.

God doesn't exist so "he" doesn't really do anything.

Missionaries use various techniques to convert people to their religion. Mormons go door to door. Other missionaries target more vulnerable populations. Some even use bribes like christmas boxes.

.

I feel very, very sorry for you PP. In m sincerity, I hope the Holy Spirit continues to nag at you and that you will come to see the foolishness of your ways.

You feel sorry for me for recognizing reality? I'm good, thanks.

Christians proselytize. And people will judge them for that.

It's unethical to proselytize to vulnerable people.

You are totally blind to reality. Your ego is all you see.

Why does anyone "believe"? Because someone, usually their parents, told them what to believe. It's not like someone who is isolated from Christians will all of a sudden "find Jesus". There isn't something that person will experience on their own that will make them "believe". That's because it only exists as a "story" passed down. It only exists in your mind, as a story someone told you. It's not real.

Praying for you PP. This obviously bothers you a lot.

It doesn’t bother me at all. It’s just sad that some people blindly “believe” whatever they are told.

Proselytizing doesn’t automatically mean using force. It can be unethical in a variety of ways.

How shocking that CHRISTians would use CHRISTmas for outreach. What has the world come to? Next you'll tell me the Pope is Catholic

Christians should not talk to other people. Even here in a religious forum: why do we have to hear their garbage? It’s like cmon keep it to yourself. Nobody should have to hear about religion in a religion forum or hear about Christ at Christmas.

You are one of the special ones who can see through everything, and you know the real truth. Everyone else lacks intelligence, and the ability to think for themselves. Poor people are dumb and believe anything. They are dumb and vulnerable. You should become a missionary for truth and knowledge, and help poor dumb people find the real truth. It’s your duty to do so pp. Don’t let people get taken advantage of. Make sure you take hard copies of high quality studies to support your knowledge to show the people how to live better.

Do. I thought the anti-Christian blind hate and rage would die down somewhat after the holidays. I guess not. Too many Modi voters and proselytizing atheists.

It is so sickeningly crass that I can't believe this insane practice still goes on. And it is usually nutty bible thumping Americans doing the proselytizing.

How about Yankee christians stay at home and mind their own damn business? Quit trying to interfere with other cultures and religions. Missionaries are nothing but disgusting ethnocentrism on display. Maybe it is time buddhists send monks on a mission in America to convert all of the lost souls practicing a false religion who are doomed to hell and will never reach nirvana?

Try learning some history. Buddhism spread throughout Asia because of missionaries and conquest, not immigration.

That’s all fine as long as you aren’t shoving your beliefs down other people’s throats - particularly vulnerable people like many of the kids receiving those shoeboxes.

I’m not special in any way. I’m just one of the millions of people who can see religion for what it really is. And I really DGAF what nonsense people choose to believe - as long as they don’t try to shove their idiotic beliefs down my throat and/or take away my basic rights in the name of their religion.

I actually think religion is helpful for people who need to be told how to do the right thing. Or those who struggle with uncertainty. They need an authority figure to tell them what to think and do. They can’t figure it out on their own.

Why does pp keep saying they dont know that they recieve a box? Its clearly laid out in WHY these poor vulnerable children are even attending this event. Also because it probably has food and they are starving.

Literally these priests are training these kids like dogs. Accept food and gifts from the master, all you have to do is play nice and convert to my religion...
