Religion
| I met a pretty large group of church planters while living in Asia too, and was curious what it looked like so went to a couple of their sessions (sermons? sorry not raised religious) It seemed like they were using flyers targeting young people (mainly high school and college students) to come and check out their free English lessons and in return, at the end of the lesson they preach their stuff and try to get the students to sign up for receiving newsletters or weekend events (e.g. Halloween parties, Christmas parties) where they would do more recruiting to get them to attend church. Not everyone but the vast majority that I talked to were from the US, specifically the bible belt (e.g. Ozark Christian college). Interesting times. |
Truly, pick Christmas to pash those Chrisitans who dedicate their lives to good works. AMA. |
So when exactly should people express hatred of culturally detrimental and violent/terroristic attacks on different societies? |
January 1st is Christmas? What? Are you still drunk? |
Christians have been there invading other people's land for millenia and causing millions of deaths. Why can't white people and their religion simply stay in their own damn lanes? Maybe Asians should flood Europe and the US and proselytize all of the uncivilized heathens worshiping a false deity in their churches. |
| Mother Teresa is also the worst thing to ever happen to India. No joke. |
Thank god all of those Christian missionaries to Native Americans enrolled their kids in all of those Christian boarding schools 💀 |
The worst ones go to the poor villages and hand out food but only if you are willing to listen to their preaching. |
No Particularly Mormons that send young bloods to our doors . It’s utterly disgusting Caught some in my ring camera gross |
| So how do you feel about opening mosque s in the United States? |
+1. and not "good works" according to most people. Just according to them. If your idea of a good work is bothering someone else, then it's no longer "good". People have a right to have THEIR beliefs (or lack of belief) respected also. You don't get to impose your beliefs on others or even try to convince people if it's intruding on their life to do so, or otherwise taking advantage of them to do so. |

Seeing missionaries abroad just makes me so angry.
It’s one thing to try to convert me who is probably a social peer to many missionaries. I am generally annoyed by these attempts but maybe people believe it’s their job to prosetylize and I can try to live with that. When there is such a disparity in station thought, such as in poor developing countries, it is exploitative in addition to being annoying and I cannot believe that there are people hose that still support the practice. |
A mosque opening is different than prosteylzing. Rarely do you see American Muslims traving abroad to convert nonbelievers to the 'correct' relgion. Colonizing and religious conversion are almost entirely white western constructs for the last 2000 years. Stay in your lane with your own false religions white peole. These days it is pretty much only bible thumping looney bins from America trying to preach and perform missions. |
How about people who spit out so much hate stop traveling around the world and spread their negativity around? Let buddhists decide for themselves if they want to send their monks on a mission in US. |
| Totally disgusting. Proselytizing to (non white) ppl to “save” them. |
