| FDR was pro Russia. They were our allies in WW2 and did the heavy lifting. Why can’t we join with them against China our biggest threat? |
Instead the stupid swamp ran them into Chinas arms. The anti American seamp wants us to lose ww3 |
FDR wasn’t pro Russia so much as he was anti Hitler and functioning under “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” And we and the rest of our allies did plenty of heavy lifting. |
Trump isn’t pro Russia. He’s anti China … you know the country that started Covid . |
Russia has the greatest losses. |
The circumstances around allying with Russia in WW2 are very different than where we are today. |
So anti-China that he hired one of their agents for his cabinet and paid more to them in taxes than he paid to the US. So Anti-China that the Trump org was awarded a bevy of Chinese trademarks. He also pulled out of the TPP and essentially ceded the South China Sea to Beijing but sure, anti-China. |
They weren't our ally. They were the enemy of our enemy. We helped them fight Nazis but that was pretty much where the relationship ended. Remember that Patton said we should keep our tanks rolling all the way to Moscow. |
Trump is so anti China that he had most of his Trump-branded stuff made there. Yep, ludicrous to claim Trump is anti China |
How is Russia against China? Russia has been hard at work with China to create a new banking system and in improving trade. Russia is willingly putting itself deeply in hock to China to help win the Ukraine war, to the point where Russia will probably have to sign a chunk of its far east over to China. Russia is not at all in any meaningful opposition to China. |
The opportunity to make Russia an ally against China was lost during the Clinton days. |
Yep, Ukraine needs to spread money between both parties. They need to do what Israel does. |
Trump isn’t anti-China at all. He’s anti-Asian people, that much we saw around covid, but as other PPs have shown, he’s pretty staunchly pro-China itself. And we know he’s incredibly pro-Russia. Nancy Pelosi alluded to it in a recent interview. ““You wonder, what does Putin have on Donald Trump that he always has to be beholden to him, his buddy... in vileness?" said Pelosi. Trump has taken repeated swipes at NATO and his comments during a rally in South Carolina on February 10 sparked concern about the U.S. role in the alliance should the Republican retake the White House. He suggested that he would "encourage (Russia) to do whatever the hell they want" to NATO members not meeting a defense spending commitment of 2 percent of GDP. Pelosi continued: "What does he (Putin) have on Donald Trump that he would have to constantly be catering to Putin, telling Putin, go into these countries, NATO countries?” https://www.newsweek.com/trump-pelosi-putin-financial-1871483 We know that the GOP is in debt to Russia, we just don’t know how much for. |
