I wish the media was paying literally any attention to this.

Several years ago I posted here on dcum that anyone interested in opposing and weakening the US should find ways to support Republican candidates. I guess the Russians read it. Sorry about that.

Depending how many years ago it was, the operation was probably already well underway.

The operation has been underway for decades.

Russian Communist leader, Nikita Khrushchev said, “We will take America without firing a shot. We do not have to invade the U.S. We will destroy you from within.”

The plan has been in place for some time. It is just shocking that it is the party of Reagan that fell to it.

It's not shocking at all. You need to read the works of Yuri Bezmenov.

"That’s why my KGB instructors specifically made the point: “Never bother with leftists. Forget about these political prostitutes. Aim higher.” This was my instruction. Try to get into into large circulation, established conservative media, reach filthy rich movie makers, intellectuals, so-called academic circles. Cynical, egocentric people who can look into your eyes with angelic expression and tell you a lie. These are the most recruitable people: people who lack moral principles, who are either too greedy or suffer from self-importance. They feel that they they matter a lot. These are the people who KGB wanted very much to recruit."

And the result?

"Former President Donald Trump’s “Trump Force One” plane was parked at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) at various times from June 28 to June 30. During that time, his plane was parked next to a Russian embassy plane and a United Arab Emirates plane"

One wonders if a Trump DOJ would have done this.

One doesn’t need to wonder, they wouldn’t have. And if they did from 2017-2021, it was probably a holdover from pre-Trump who managed to run the gauntlet to get it there.

This is a non event. Disinformation is a Hallmark of soviets. Perhaps some of you slept during your history lessons.

I guess the Democrats wanted in on being "Pro-Russia" and hired Navalny's daughter to work for Harris: https://www.thetimes.com/world/russia-ukraine-war/article/navalnys-daughter-dasha-working-for-kamala-harris-campaign-6700ln3wd

Maybe she can dismiss all of Navalny's political positions as "just the things the CIA paid him to say."

Voting for Trump to end genocide in Gaza and Lebanon.

Because he’ll help Israel get the job done, right? Poof, no more genocide after that.

Fantasy. Trump will end it only if he can personally benefit from it.

Was this post written by a Russian? I honestly don’t understand how you think these two things - Putin running the GOP vs the young adult child of a Putin opposition leader who was murdered under his regime working in a totally normal capacity for a candidate - are remotely the same. I’d say I’m embarrassed for you but Republicans seem immune to shame.

It’s pretty pathetic that they dress up their anti-Ukraine stance behind paleocon rhetoric (Republicans have never been afraid to go to war). They oppose Ukraine aid not because they are against war, but because they support Russia, perhaps even more than they support their own country.

The part of the ideology that is new is for them to align with our enemies.

I believe a former Republican nominee called Russia and Putin specifically the greatest threat to the US. I guess those were the good old days when Republicans were patriots at least.

I am a democrat (less of one today) who cringed when democrats ridiculed him for those statements. When will Dems realize shaming, ridicule, patronizing, and smugness don’t expand the coalition?

Navalny was a "nationalist" Russian politician, who would be considered a racist, xenophobe, and imperialist in American terms. Those are all things diametrically opposite of how the Harris campaign presents itself. So how does the family of a Russian "nationalist" seamlessly transition into supporting the Harris campaign? Do they disavow everything their dad supposedly stood for? No one on the Harris campaign is worried about the optics of this? No one is going to ask her if Crimea is Russian?

My argument is that Navalny was entirely a creature of American intelligence agencies, without a genuine thought in his head except for a desire for power. His family is now merely continuing the family business, and working for the same employer as their dad always had. In some ways its comforting that Uncle Sam is taking care of the kids of one of its employees it got killed.
