FDR wasn’t pro Russia so much as he was anti Hitler and functioning under “the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” And we and the rest of our allies did plenty of heavy lifting. [/quote]

Trump isn’t anti-China at all. He’s anti-Asian people, that much we saw around covid, but as other PPs have shown, he’s pretty staunchly pro-China itself.

And we know he’s incredibly pro-Russia. Nancy Pelosi alluded to it in a recent interview. ““You wonder, what does Putin have on Donald Trump that he always has to be beholden to him, his buddy... in vileness?" said Pelosi.

Trump has taken repeated swipes at NATO and his comments during a rally in South Carolina on February 10 sparked concern about the U.S. role in the alliance should the Republican retake the White House. He suggested that he would "encourage (Russia) to do whatever the hell they want" to NATO members not meeting a defense spending commitment of 2 percent of GDP.
