Maybe she can dismiss all of Navalny's political positions as "just the things the CIA paid him to say."

Was this post written by a Russian? I honestly don’t understand how you think these two things - Putin running the GOP vs the young adult child of a Putin opposition leader who was murdered under his regime working in a totally normal capacity for a candidate - are remotely the same. I’d say I’m embarrassed for you but Republicans seem immune to shame.

Navalny was a "nationalist" Russian politician, who would be considered a racist, xenophobe, and imperialist in American terms. Those are all things diametrically opposite of how the Harris campaign presents itself. So how does the family of a Russian "nationalist" seamlessly transition into supporting the Harris campaign? Do they disavow everything their dad supposedly stood for? No one on the Harris campaign is worried about the optics of this? No one is going to ask her if Crimea is Russian?

My argument is that Navalny was entirely a creature of American intelligence agencies, without a genuine thought in his head except for a desire for power. His family is now merely continuing the family business, and working for the same employer as their dad always had. In some ways its comforting that Uncle Sam is taking care of the kids of one of its employees it got killed.

An argument for which you have zero evidence.

His daughter is not him, for the record. His family is exiled from Russia. Should she take her Stanford degree and hide herself away? You seem scared of the “optics” of an adult child of a famous person getting a job, but she’s not making policy. She’s doing GOTV. OMG, stop the presses, right? That’s totally the exact same thing as Trump violating the Logan Act with Putin, and with all the other evidence of Trump working to please Putin rather than for America.

Exiled you say? The only thing keeping them out of Russia is a paycheck and the guilty conscience that comes with it.

I find it hilarious that after 8 years of kvetching about Russian influence, the Harris campaign goes out and recruits the daughter of a notorious Russian "nationalist". It will be fun to watch her fly up the ranks. Will they put her in State or a think tank first? That's how this works right?

For those of you wondering what this person is on about, Navalny wasn't apparently losing any sleep over Russia's invasion of Crimea. And he said some pretty awful things about immigrants. I can't understand why that wouldn't have Trump rushing to embrace him, unless it's that Navalny both disavowed his statements and kept the YouTubes up because they accurately showed his position at the time. You know, making a considered change to one's position, transparently and with accountability.

You can tell by the ringing silence that the answer is never.
