This is so bizarre. Jade (LIVE on the Today show) just said they are working on getting back together. But she minces her words which is quite annoying. Hoda had to ask her for clarification several times.

YES!! She says so much, but it actually turns out to be nothing at all.

Both of their kids speak this way too. Will sometimes does it but he has more ability to be direct. He also is more likely to use humor in communication which is more effective.

I do feel bad for her though because these communication tendencies are very likely the result of abuse, neglect, other trauma, and then years of therapy. I have a bit of this myself. I can communicate very effectively in writing but I really struggle with talking to people about myself or my feelings. So many layers of shame and fear of punishment or judgment, conditioned into me at a very young age. But I've made a very conscious effort to at least learn to communicate clearly and plainly with my kid so that she learns to express herself in straightforward ways, and so far that has worked.

Just lurking…. And correcting mis speaks

Her hair is growing back. She addressed that about 6 months ago in a social media video.,

How is this a sob story? She revealed she had alopecia back in 2018.

+1000
She is awful. I will always remember how she said she didn’t like being around white people. Um, ok…

She just wants attention. I wish she wasn't famous

How could he best make this go away? Name three things he could do.

Will Smith has an excellent PR team behind him. If and when he ever wanted to pull the plug on this sham of a “partnership” he has with Nutball, he could with zero blowback or bad press. I actually think the American public would be relieved.

Everybody I know hates him since the Oscar’s

Then why does he call her his wife.

Because they never divorced. Duh!!

Yes it mysteriously disappeared.

It’s auto immune disease!! She could have gotten steroid shots or changed your diet…. Or done nothing that she knows of. Please educate yourself before saying something so insensitive.

You can not like Jada without insulting a whole population of sufferers.

Except willow looks like Will as a girl.

And Jaden looks like Jada.

And hot take….

I’ve always loved how their names and their kids’ names were so perfect to me. Sons name as derivative of hers and daughters name from him. williw and Jaden were not even popular baby names at the time (which also worked great with him being an A list celebrity),

Hate them if you want, but they are beautiful black people who were #goals because they were accepted by “mainstream” Hollywood 25 years ago.

Currently listening to the Jay Shetty interview. Whew! It’s a long one but it’s really making me see her in a different light. I have way more empathy for her and I’m only about 30 mins in.

That entire family seems a few French fries short of a happy meal.

There is zero evidence Jada has an autoimmune disease. Alopecia is just a word that means hair loss. It is the more clinical term for bald. It just means there is no hair where there is usually hair.

Haven’t read the thread but… if a tree falls in the forest and nobody hears it, is it relevant?

Yawn. She is just attention hungry. If nobody noticed her separation than it’s probably not that newsworthy.

I have encountered other people like this, with enormously messy private lives due to their extreme narcissism and arrogance (which is what causes BS like this), but because they've been to therapy and are able to speak about their private drama with something resembling detachment or emotional maturity, they think everyone WANTS to hear about it. But at the end of the day, they are just people who couldn't stay faithful, or thought an open marriage could work when it didn't, or put their own needs before their kids, or whatever. Like they just messed up in one or more of the basic ways that people mess up all the time. Being able to talk about it in way that sounds intellectual or evolved doesn't really change that. Maybe it makes it easier for them to handle, if so, great. Discuss it with your therapist. But other people don't want to hear about your messed up private life. Maybe people are interested at first for salacious reasons, so they can gloat or gossip or whatever. But eventually... it's just sad. Go deal with it privately, you can stop involving the rest of the world in this depressing saga.

Amen!

I mean…I believe she has alopecia. It’s just not a justification for violence over a GI Jane joke.

She doesn’t have alopecia

Yea she does. So many women, especially Black women, suffer from alopecia for various reasons. I believe hers was related to depression.

As someone who has started losing my hair due to stress, I actually have a lot of empathy for someone who's been through it. It is a weird loss of control, and I bet being in a very image-focused industry really heightens that feeling. It sounds shallow and vain, and I guess it is, but you don't realize how shallow and vain you are until your hair starts coming out in clumps for no discernible reason and you still have to shower and get dressed and go to work and see people. It's easy to not care when you don't have this problem.

That said, many of Jada's issues are problems of her own making. But I do feel for anyone with alopecia. It sucks.

Yeah, except jada’s hair never came out in clumps! She does not have alopecia! Except maybe traction alopecia. She shaved her head and then said her face lift scars were alopecia. Come on people, you have to be more savvy about this.

She said her hair was falling out in clumps so she shaved it. That’s a common thing to do. A TikTok video said she had face life scars which is not a verifiable source. Grow up please.

Two of my siblings have alopecia areata. After you shave your head you can see where the hair has fallen out in clumps. It’s bald, smooth, shiny skin compared to the stubble where there is still hair. There is no indication she has a single bald spot. She does not have alopecia.

I agree with you. I have alopecia areata, which I believe is the type of alopecia Jada says she has, and I see no evidence of bald spots. Which are still evident even after shaving your head.
