Thoughts on this beautiful/modern/fresh new-build home in Bethesda. (Best schools)

I moved from the Bay Area where there were a lot of tear downs too but the new builds, at least on the average, looked more tasteful. Do we just have bad builders here? Curb appeal is often average and they cut corners on higher-end finishes.

CA vs mid Atlantic = totally different styles. Apples to oranges.

Stick with me here. The outside of the house looks like Ryan Reynolds in a VERY form fitting suit with his ankles showing and no socks, dress shoes.

Crazy stupid love. Not the house from the movie. It looks like Ryan Reynolds from the movie.

This home screams, "I've arrived. I'm wealthy."

Ryan Gosling was in Crazy Stupid Love, not Ryan Reynolds.

Is CA modern design just better then? It isn't like these modern homes in Bethesda are trying to fit into traditional style of the area. I do wonder if the builders and designers here just aren't great. The other part of the CA equation is that there is a lot more $$ there too.

I hate this house and its ilk. Can you give us a couple examples of new builds in California that are better?

Check out sales in Palo Alto and Mountain View over the last 3 years! You'll see a variety of styles.

Just pure idiocy.

This home is giving similar vibes (less dramatic but similar.). Is Kensington safe at night?

Um yeah. It's in the Parkwood neighborhood and other than people going through unlocked cars at night, nothing happens.

I’ve lived all around the country and I think we have the ugliest new builds. I don’t understand it.

That kitchen looks so cheap.

Beautiful home, but troubled by photo #3 of 55 as it shows a drain pipe draining on to the neighbor's property.

Thanks. I like it. Is it (Kensington) Potomac - level safe?

It's not real marble. If you look closely you can tell. This ultry-trendy counter material is very "right now."
