Thoughts on this beautiful/modern/fresh new-build home in Bethesda. (Best schools)

Love you. Lots of great DCUM writers on this thread today.

This house is absolutely dreadful. Everyone involved in its creation and attempted sale should be ashamed. The sellers agent should be especially ashamed for relying on AI for listing write-up. I don’t want to think about this house for another millisecond, but in case the developer or realtor is reading this, PSA that all luxury homes need the kitchen sink under a window. We ever-thriving Bethesda families like looking at our hopefully thriving offspring in the yard, + birds and squirrels.

First of all, it is awful.

While there are individual things I like, ultimately it's a house that someone threw every trendy (but not tasteful) design trend at it and ended up with a Frankenstein monster. And decided a black exterior was a good idea. And to add further insult, graced the house with an awful front door.

This is not a contemporary. This is a freakshow.

Way too expensive and the outside looks a little foreboding. Too dark.

When will the tear down developers stop putting up all these multi triangle houses? Every new build in close in Bethesda seems to be the same.

5800 sq ft house on an 8000 sq ft lot is awful. Don’t they having any sane zoning?

Blacks, dark greys, even very dark greens are very hot right now. It’s the evolution away from the “all white” with black trim. I think it’s very dramatic and looks very nice on the right home.

No. This IS just as dating as the all white with black trim. The dark house, black windows and white trim just happens to be worse.

Anyone else expect the OP post to be satire when they clicked on this?

Who knew a new build could look so dated. Is this truly what buyers want now, or are developers just doing cheap “luxury” touches for max profit?

The kitchen sink is under a window.

I wonder if the neighboring homes have a similar vibe?

ULGY, cheap finishes.

Lot is too small and I expect a 3 car garage at this price. No showstopper features. For this price, I expect a Wow! Factor. Very blah for the price.

The kitchen sink is under a window.

Ok, thanks. I now see there are two sinks in the kitchen area. I move my grade from an F to a D-.

It’s like a Darth Vader of homes. But not like the real one. An aging, strip mall, Darth Vader impersonator, who’s sad and has a really bad alcoholic agent

🤮 Good luck, OP, on selling this soulless house for that thriving Bethesda family.

I was told that term means sex. Does the description really say that? I’m not clicking on link.

It really does say that! I lifted it right off the house description. 🤦🏻‍♀️
