I would fill a formal complaint for having ESL kids in AAP classes, unless they are only namely ESL but speak/UNDERSTAND English well. |
Not pp you are replying to, but NO, that is NOT at all my want regarding my children’s schooling. I want them to learn ENGLISH, MATH, SCIENCE, GEOGRAPHY, and HISTORY well. Learn to assess and think for themselves. Learn to research, learn to explore and experiment. Learn to read, comprehend, debate, and refute. Anything else is maybe a plus, bit not necessarily so. |

ESL kids are, by definition, fluent in a second language. That is a goldmine in AAP. Give those kids a newspaper article from their country of origin on what ever the lesson topic is and let the class discussion rip! |
