John Bittrolff is a potential suspect for the Manorville victims. |
Rex's face lacks symmetry and he's very hard to look at.
Also, he has a creative skill (architecture) and chose to focus instead on navigating the NYC permitting process. His hobby was similarly bureaucratic-- using the legal system to extort people. It should have come as no surprise to anyone that he's a serial killer. Many such cases. |
another New York serial killer |
WTH? You sound nuts. |
They’re 100% right on the first point. The rest is nonsensical. |
So I guess it turns out they found upwards of 300 firearms in the psycho’s basement bunker room. Good thing they didn’t try to arrest him at home!
Meanwhile there are articles circulating that indicate his wife and kids were seen buying groceries with food stamps over the years. That’s weird? Clearly he had money to be spending on a massive arsenal of firearms, nice vehicles for himself (wife was apparently car-less) and to splash out on prostitutes. He also seems well appointed in his professional capacity but neighbors say the wife and kids didn’t have nice clothes and looked - poor. This morning an FBI profiler who described him basically spot on in a profile a decade ago said it’s possible the only reason he had a family was as a cover for his psychopathic activities and that he likely used coercive control on his wife and their children all these years. In any case while my compassion is obviously first with the families of his victims, his family are victims too. The wife’s lawyer released a brief statement which mentioned the terrible toll this is taking on elderly family members. I honestly don’t know how anyone recovers from such an experience. |
The food stamps are likely because her son (from a prior relationship) is disabled and qualifies for SSI. |
+1 Agree. People use their nuclear families as covers for all sorts of things, not often crimes, but it happens. |
If I remember right, he was assigned to his own case. I’ll look it up and post. |

Does anyone think the wife knew about the cheating part and looked the other way (not realizing her husband was a serial killer, of course)? |
I definitely think it’s a possibility, especially given the fact that she has an adult son with special needs and it wouldn’t have been as easy to just pick up and leave. Not to mention that they also had a daughter together. There are plenty of people who stay in far less than ideal marriages because of kids or for financial reasons. |
