Look what do I know, but that really doesn't seem to be how most people perceive him - those who know him personally, those who've met him, those who (like me) only see his public image and form an opinion based on that. Anyway, I don't care what he said. I think he's doing a good job as president. I'm almost 50 and I think he is the best president of my lifetime. I don't love that he's going into this at age 80 - but my concern about his age is abstract; what I see is him doing a good job. And I also don't see someone else I wish were doing it instead. I see Dems I hope are getting ready - but I don't see any who I think should swoop in today. And you couldn't pay me to vote for a Republican, at this stage of things. Esp not the ones who are eyeing the prize here. They are a disgusting bunch of boils.

If Trump is the Republican nominee, as seems likely, I'm pretty sure a toaster oven would defeat him. But realistically, a toaster option is not an option. And no mainstream Democrat is going to challenge Biden at this point. The Kennedy 15 percent thing is a blip of background noise. Low information voters momentarily distracted by the Kennedy name. But this Kennedy is an extremist lunatic. This is the one that should have been lobotomized. Really don't think a campaign based upon opposition to the Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccine is going to win over the hearts and minds of Americans.

That being said, a Biden-Harris ticket is not without risks. No one in their 80s is in their mental and physical prime. This is not the Joe Biden of the Obama years. The decline has been visible for everyone - the way he shuffles, the way he speaks, the frequent bouts of momentary confusion. And that's only going to get worse. He's 80. The risks of a bad fall or a stroke are incredibly high. It's the nature of life. He's already exceeded the average lifespan of an American man by three years. And if something does happen over the next two years - God forbid - chaos ensues.

The fact is Kamala Harris is not popular. Defenders will always exclaim racism and misogyny. Whatever. She's had two years as vice president. Every time she speaks it's a word salad. There's no there there. She is not a disciplined thinker. And she's clearly not comfortable addressing policy. Any policy. She's like the anti-Hilary Clinton. Additionally, her staff turnover is absurd. She's obviously a terrible manager. She attracts no loyalty. And being from California is not a plus presently. The ads about being the district attorney for San Francisco write themselves.

It's a lot of us who are shocked and appalled about how the party that previously only demanded we all believe in flat earths and creationism and taking away women's rights and healthcare for as many people as possibly, could have become even more stupid and cruel. We've seen how bad it can get. Stop the bleeding, then you can work on everything else.

The uncle Joe bit was a facade and a thin one at that. He isn’t particularly nice to the press and has a history of being kind of an elitist jerk. He went to an elite high school. He has definitely enriched himself and his entire family by currying favor with unsavory people like the Chinese. And so yes, I 100% believe he was a total jerk to Hillary. He is a jerk with an Aw shucks facade that is a total load of bs.

Well, it's him or Trump. And anyone who thinks there's an equivalence has definitely taken the brown acid.

Equivalence? No but those unwilling to acknowledge Biden’s flaws or those of the party will continue to wonder why people give him grief or not fully support him when he’s in office.
