I’m not sure American audiences really get it as there is a culture gap but I used to live in the UK and it’s clear her ungrateful entitled self-aggrandizing attitude was not okay. Honestly I don’t think the BRF realized what they were taking on when they allowed a professional image manipulator and wannabe Hollywood A-listed into their midst. She plays the game better than any commoner would. Add to this that she is more intelligent than all the Royals (and especially Harry) and they have a real problem on their hands. TBH I think she saw this too and was just frustrated that they were holding her back from using her skills to leverage her new lifestyle into a brand like the Kardashians.

She isn’t more intelligent - she didn’t do as well at school as Catherine, she doesn’t have any artistic skills, she can’t maintain relationships. I know I’ll get shouted down but I don’t particularly care. What Meghan is is manipulative and remorseless in her discarding of significant people in her life - not just her dad, but childhood friends, her mailing her ring to her ex-husband. She’s brutal but that attracts admiration and the comparative lack of drama brought by others is seen as weakness instead of what it actually is, personal strength.

I didn’t say she was a better person or had more integrity or was more emotionally intelligent. I think she has a higher IQ. But there is no question that Kate is more emotionally intelligent and skilled at making and keeping relationships and is a vestry better-seeming person.

That doesn’t say much. We all agree wth ourselves.

And I think they’re each a joke, and neither is anywhere near as bright nor charming as they take themselves to be. Give me Camilla any day - but I’m not attracted to self-pity. YMMV.

Ah, yes, Camilla, who's friends with the person who called for Meghan to be stripped naked and paraded through the streets of every town in Britain while people throw feces at her. Camilla, who's taken it upon herself to call herself a champion for violence against women.

Camilla has done more to help DV victims than Meghan has done for anyone, at anytime. Yes, I saw their reality show. I wonder why she didn’t highlight Uvalde? What a total joke.

I’m unaware of her DV work can you elaborate? Would be happy to learn she has done meaning work in this area.

You weaken your argument when you make stuff up. She’s not friends with him, she happened to be at the same party as him, hosted by the former CEO of Fortnum and Masons, along with 100 other guests.

Unfortunately they themselves don’t seem to have any real accomplishments besides telling their own rather self-absorbed story, and are trying to get rich off of their proximity to an institution they claim to despise. I don’t see what choice the royal family has but to cut them off as they have proven themselves to be shameless opportunists and self-promoters at every turn. Eventually H&M will run out of things to talk about when the royal family continues to not give them fuel. For now, H&M are just doing what entertainers have always done and gauged the audience most receptive to their preferred version of events which for now is the US that sees only the celebrity and doesn’t get the nuance.

The only real exception I see to this is Harry’s legitimate good works with the Invictus Games. That is straight up good service.

I am a commonwealth citizen and respectfully disagree.

I did not find her entitled or self aggrandizing at all and many people do color or otherwise divergent found they could relate to her more easily. I like Kate and William as well.

I think it is a mistake to cast the two families in the conflict model rather than a dialogue model. Including Meghan and Harry as respected senior royals is much more advantageous to the monarchy than turning them into pariahs. Many of us wish to see the monarchy adapt and change in positive ways for common goods.

You weaken your argument when you refuse to view facts objectively. Jeremy Clarkson has documented his friendship with Camilla in the past.

Why on Earth would you presume a higher IQ? One of them took honors in college and it wasn’t Meghan. One of them can play an instrument to some degree and draw; again, not Meghan. And I’ve seen Suits, and the emoting done there was by her struggle cleavage and tighter than tight pencil skirts. It was in no way appreciably more high brow than Deal or No Deal, actual truth be told.

This is just completely made up? Meghan graduated from Northwestern with a double major. However you cut it up, that's pretty impressive and she clearly did well in school.

I totally agree. The family & media seemed willing to accept this with the whole "Fab Four" narrative. Somehow she couldn't stay in that formation. She is a disruptor, she always has been and she became one in the family also.

I don't agree with pitting these women's intelligence against each other, but come on, let's at least be reasonable. Meghan went to Northwestern. Kate went to St Andrews. StA is fine, but it's not Northwestern. Meghan also speaks two languages and had a way more robust career in a way that Kate never had (and likely never could have).

She has taken the relatively unusual role of speaking against it consistently since joining the RF; article is recent and has some past links. It’s not flying to Uvalde two days after a massacre with a camera crew to presumably “put a spotlight” on THE top news story of the US of those weeks with an abundance of already-present media in order to get peeped and handing out Frito-Lay snack packs but it’s something.

I didn’t start it but I will certainly finish it. One of them did well, one didn’t pass the Foreign Service exam after her LONE “smart one” credential, her Argentinian internship from her “who are you again?” Uncle. I’d LOVE TO SEE the evidence that Meghan speaks any foreign language beyond the wine menu of a mid-range restaurant - she reeks of Melania Trump’s I Speak 6 Languages. Evidence, please - hey, you want to be reasonable, correct?

It is NOT made up: you are in fact presenting as factual things that aren’t. Meghan took no honors in college. Fact. Actual fact. Any celebrity who was cum laude or PBK has it in their Wiki. Actual fact. I’m tired of the presumption that a shameless, nasty grifter who is remorseless in attacking her sister in law is also her better. Nope. She isn’t, and it burns her, and the simple fact that she could not stand not entering every room first is why she and stupid Harry have lost much if not most of the goodwill they once had.
