Spare

+1 I think he could make the point about the quandary of institution vs. family without disclosing every bit of personal business. Which frankly comes across as stretched and strained to fit the particular desired narrative.

It’s a betrayal that most of us could not forgive for the benefit of our own sanity.

Netflix got their pound of flesh. But at what cost to Harry? I kind of pity him and this book makes him more pitiable.

As lies. As wholesale lies, presenting total contradictions from accounts he and his wife provided publicly over the past 2 years.

I mean, he seemed to want revenge plus the truckload of money offered. Agree Netflix is the only winner here.

Yes. Unseemly is my first impression, but I supposed it had to be to earn that multi-million advance. Honestly don't know why his family would ever speak to him again.

No question. I certainly would never.

If I were a family member, I would never engage in a private, personal conversation with Harry or Meghan. Wouldn't trust them for one second. I would be polite bur recognize that they would say and do just about anything for money.

Forget private and personal, there would be NO conversations at all. Ever.

I don’t even understand how an average Montecitan schmoe would be comfortable around such an indiscreet pair. That’s just beyond the bounds of normal.
I do think it’s adorable that William and Catherine not screaming their shit in public is “scarily tightly wound” whereas this media blitz is…normal? It’s really so strange. I thought having some modicum of discretion was something that adults prized in general.

If my two boys turn out like these brothers in their adult relationship, I will consider myself a massive failure as a mother.

And what's with Harry calling his therapist because William hit him?

And yet during the same time frame his poor wife had to go to “palace HR” for help and no one around her would help and so on.

Absolutely, if they're willing to sell out family, no Joe Schmoe is safe in their orbit.

All of this.

It was one thing to have one tell-all complaint fest with Oprah, but now it's clear their entire brand is Woe-is-Us. It's tiresome and has no staying power.

And I say that as someone who empathizes with being born into his situation (not a life I'd choose). But their approach is such a turnoff and they've lost so much credibility with conflicting statements they've made. Not to mention their complaints about things like barely being able to afford their $15mm home....so out of touch.

Kind of a weird statement given their young ages at the time of Diana's death. One does wonder how she would have handled this dynamic had she lived, but she herself was very similar to Harry after all.
