Elrich Now in the Lead

Can Blair run in the general as an independent? I think with Reimer out he would clean everyone's clock.

No. Maryland has a sore loser law.

It’s almost like the most the most aggressive posters are probably Riemer voters themselves trying to will a Blair victory into existence in order to absolve themselves of their misguided decision.

You do realize that many Reimer supporters would not have supported Blair, right? I preferred Reimer but ended up voting for Elrich for precisely the scenarios we’re in right now.

I wonder why he didn’t just run as an independent and skip the primary. Did he not anticipate the anti-Elrich vote getting split?

Oh snap, Blair is ahead. I was told this was impossible!

They updated fast. So awesome. I feel very encouraged that provisionals and batch #2 of mail ins will more closely mirror early voting patterns.

Meaning the gap has narrowed slightly, which we were told here was impossible!

Yeah, it's like this so far:
Before mail-in counted: Blair by 1,110
Day 1 of maili-in: Blair By 600
Day 2: Elrich by 296
Day 3: Elrich by 276

They can post final counts up to 11pm so we may see another update. No counting tomorrow I believe.

24 votes! Impossible.

I cannot believe you people are wasting your time like this. As the number of ballots goes down, the proportion that Blair must win increases.

This is like arguing with people who play the lottery. Sure someone will win. But it won’t be you.

Blair's now ahead. What say you?

Total nonsense. Is that why Riemer put his campaign office in Bethesda and spent most of his time there trying to win votes, because people in Bethesda would not vote Blair?

I'm one of the posters following the numbers. FTR I voted for Blair. I just want to know who the next CE will be. It's weird some of you think a person needs to have some kind of guilt complex to want to know the outcome of the election.

When will the next batch be updated? The numbers as of 7/27 11 AM are still what it was showing 7/25 after 9 PM.

Later today. Yesterday they took a break. They have to file with the state by 11pm each night by law.

Perhaps he actually identifies as a democrat. If he switched now there would be no going back again.

Here's what I don't understand - how has Marc Elrich gotten MORE of the share of votes from 2018? In 2018, he won (barely) with 29%, and now he has over 39%? All I hear about is people who have always hated Elrich of people who voted for him last time but didn't this time. So how has he gotten MORE votes? Who are these people voting for him?
