Elrich Now in the Lead

Anonymous
He’s now up by 300 votes and his lead will likely grow as they continue to count the mail-in vote. After the billionaire funded attack ads, it turns out what put Elrich over the top was Hans Riemer ego campaign siphoning votes from Blair.

I am sorry, but this is friggin’ hilarious. The whole thing.

Later mail in votes might trend for Blair.

Anything is possible. But what is readily apparent is that:

1. Twitter is not real life
2. Progressive purity politics is a policy and electoral disaster

If you want things, you must be willing to compromise and not serve Hans Riemer’s ego.

It wasn’t just about ego. Hans was taking public financing and couldn’t withdraw without handing all of it back.

Public financing not allowing him to withdraw from the race is what caused Hans Riemer to start a billionaire funded SuperPAC in the closing weeks of the campaign? Is that also what caused him to show up at all of the early voting sites? As Hans Riemer would say, “c’mon guys”.

Where do you find the vote count?

And everyone will wonder why business continues to choose NoVa over MoCo.

MoCo is done.

You must not want a police department either.

Votes are being counted based on when they were received. I think old people are more likely to get their ballot in the day they received it, while working folks may have taken more time (like me.. I was on a business trip when it arrived).

Well, that's my hope at least... I figure older people more likely to vote for Elrich because of his great Covid lockdowns, including keeping public libraries and playgrounds closed while all surrounding jurisdictions had already reopened them.

Random question, but who is next in line for County Executive if an elected or nominated candidate dies? No dog in this fight, but Elrich looks like a walking heart attack. Is he really going to live another four years, let alone govern?

Or a high-paying job that doesn't require one to travel outside of MoCo. What idiots. This is why we don't have nice things.

Ugh.

It's fine. I rather like Elrich (a bit old, though). The others would be fine too.

Relax, everybody.
