"Evil", as it as been labeled, cannot be fixed in therapy. My father is a sociopath. No amount of therapy (believe me, we tried) could fix or change him. Pretty sure the people spouting this stuff about evil are also saying it is a mental health problem and also saying they don't want to pay for it. Make it make sense

So what is the answer for your dad? Does everyone else's rights need to be abridged so that your dad is not a danger to himself and others?

I don't know where you live that have people strutting around and just shooting their guns off, but I recommend that you move asap.

We had an assualt weapon ban and a high capacity magazines ban and it was fine. It was not struck down....pathetically it expired. It will be even more pathetic if we do not reinstate it.

Recent bans have been ruled unconstitutional. It's highly likely that the original ban was also unconstitutional given recent court outcome. So again, you have the burden of proof.

If SCOTUS isn't specifically addressing that then SCOTUS would be behaving unconstitutionally and shouldn't be allowed to overturn regulation.

That clause does not allow a ban on so-called assault weapons.

We get that you are pleased with shooting or selling weapons that blow people's heads off quickly and efficiently one after the other. But you can find another hobby or another product to sell. If this country does not want these weapons to be legal, then we will arrange to have them not be legal. That's the way the cookie crumbles

I really don't know. He is a stalker and predator but hasn't been arrested so still has his freedom and could probably purchase a gun if he wanted to. My point is that we really need to differentiate between personality disorders, sociopathy (which are next to impossible to treat) and mood disorders(treatable). Is evil treatable? Can we find all the evil would-be murderers ans remove them from society? If not, we have to focus on making it harder for these people to hurt or kill others.
