We have a legitimate issue in the world and US of mostly Russian infused lies and disinformation polluting our body politic. How do you suggest we deal with it?

Sorry, at this point there's been many more narratives being pushed by the current party in charge that ended up actually being wrong/disinformation. They have blatantly lied so many times that I have no reason to believe anything they say- that includes claims of supposed "Russian disinformation". I suggest rather than just issuing one sided selected talking points, you deal with it by allowing free discussion so the truth can be properly discussed, debated and parsed out. I suspect they won't do that because it would totally expose them immediately as being total morons and frauds (even though the truth still comes out eventually). Thus, all the hand wringing over Twtr.

Maybe, JUST maybe, YOU are the one who has been lied to by Fox News, OAN, Newsmax, and the right wing echo chamber. Consider it.

LOL.
PP is correct. The lies and disinformation coming from the corporate media in the past 5 years has been astounding.
From "Russian collusion" to "the laptop is Russian disinformation." Pathetic.

When people talk about Pizzagate with a non-existant pizza parlor basement, was that truth? When people say horsepaste works for COVID, is that truth?

Where is the line?

Someone simply says those are all lies and proves it. People have been full of crap forever. A government truth agency is so unAmerican and so unlikely to work anyway.

Or allows a hack thug on either side to win an election bc facts are suppressed.

It’s interesting to see the Democrats actively contributing to their demise.

JFC - she makes Ethel Merman sound like the voice of the angels. Can you imagine being her spouse? Absolutely insufferable.

She seems like the typical DC striver, which is a huge turnoff for most Americans. She also doesn't seem very professional based on her tweets, tik toks, books, and strange karaoke videos.

Somewhere along the line we got into some mode of "everyone is entitled to their opinion" even when their opinion is objectively, provably false. When provable truth is known, your opinions to the contrary on the matter become completely irrelevant and pointless. A line needs to be re-established.

Alternatively, if someone presents correct facts 9 times but gets one fact incorrect, people will pretend that person was wrong 100% of the time if it suits their own personal narrative. Statements need to be taken individually.

They suppressed its distribution and it may have impacted voters decisions. And it was, at least, newsworthy. Telling us it was Russian disinformation was DISINFORMATION. So I think it is a bridge too far under any circumstances to create this board but it is particularly tone deaf for the democrats to be doing it and to be putting this women in charge. It’s like they want to lose.

You seem very worried about this and I can see why…you are a major source of lies.

Turn them in comrade. Get that reward.

Or sing about it on tik tok like Mary poppins 😂

This is a very stupid idea.

Considering that both parties trade in demonstrably false “truths,” this office is going to be a politicized mess. Whichever administration is in power will use it to disseminate its own propaganda and suppress inconvenient facts to the contrary.

I’m hoping it gets dissolved by the next administration.
