LOL! Awesome. I love where this is heading. Surely it will go well with people like this PP who are chomping at the bit to tattle on their friends and neighbors.

Good luck to you PP. You sound overcome with glee at the prospect of turning in some dirty, filthy, unvaccinated violators.

Whatever. It’s called doing one’s civic duty. Maybe if we had more “naming and shaming” we wouldn’t be in this predicament.

Oh, we did plenty of this, please. The entire 2020-2021 was the era of "naming and shaming" in every way and every direction. And it backfired badly. There are many former Democrats now...

I’m vaccinated, but my 14yo son is not. Not a chance we’ll be eating anywhere in DC. Either NoVa or MoCo for now (until MoCo passes the same nonsense).

Good. It worked.

Yep. Good for you! You won. Kept me and my money out of DC. Good work. You can pay yourself on the back as you walk by the shuttered restaurants and closed up shops. You can feel good about your ‘win’ but it is a bit sad for the employees and small business owners who have already suffered and now will suffer more.

She will suffer too.. when RE prices start falling in DC and glorious "new nazi urban" lifestyle that involves strolling past empty storefronts and dodging homeless tents and panhandlers will start wearing off.

I have not been dining out specifically because there is no vaccine mandate. However, I did book a trip to NY which has one in place for pretty much all entertainment and tourist activities. While I personally think the omnicron surge has overtaken all of this, it's a good precedent and when the surge subsides will encourage me to do more in my hometown of DC. It's beyond time for this. Now Biden needs to impose a vaccine mandate for air, train etc. travel.

Yeah, let's see how that transportation proposal would fly with SCOTUS And if he even proposes it, he will pretty much start civil war. Are you ready for this?

How are they tying it now when we managed to not use extra hospital facilities in the biggest surge (Highest per capita mortality rate in the whole world) NYC/NJ spring 2020? This was the time many hundreds dropped dead in the hospitals PER DAY, when this virus was truly novel, before people got any immunity to it either via infection or vaccination. When the virus spread in our most populated dense city unabated. Now, 2 years into this we are caught completely unprepared and unaware? HOw is this logically possible, use your brain. Could it be staffing shortages? And what causes this do you think, could it be mandates? Ding, ding, ding..

I turned down a job offer (had a back-up based in VA) solely because of the mandate. I don’t want to do business in DC and I let the company know that. With how hard they were trying to get me, workers must not be easy to come by these days and the mandate certainly isn’t helping.

Glad to hear you making your voice heard and letting them know!

I have a contract job there I work in DC one day a week. I have been thinking about giving it up anyway, and the vaccine mandate was just one more good reason. I don’t need that nonsense. Just gave them notice also.
