| Also, I'm tired of people I know not getting preventive care because of how the unvaccinated are tying up health care and exhausting frontline workers. Get vaccinated already. |
Have you been watching the Covid numbers in NYC? How do you think a vaccine mandate makes it safer for you to eat inside at a restaurant. Vaccines make it so that the person who has been vaccinated is less likely to be hospitalized or die. However, a vaccinated person can still catch and transmit Covid. A restaurant is no ‘safer’ with a vaccine mandate. Despite what Pfizer wants you to believe. |
Good. We don't want your infected bodies in our city.Feel free to hang with the other rubes somewhere else. Totally good with it. And don't expect any sympathy when your unvaccinated kid ends up in the hospital. |

You’re delusional, and you’re not one iota as important as you wrongly think you are. |
You. Are. Not. This. Important. Grow. Up. |
I agree--and I won't be eating indoors any time soon. Neither will unvaccinated people in DC, which I'm fine with. It makes them less likely to contract covid (indoors/unmasked) and tie up hospitals (BECAUSE THEY ARE UNVACCINATED). Some of us would like routine medical care to resume, thanks. |
Who care? They have the option of being vaccinated. If they chose not to get vaccinated, that’s on them. I still don’t understand why we care about others’ vaccination status. You can pass covid on regardless. -fully vaccinated |

Short-sighted, ill-timed, and ineffective.
It seems some are still under the delusion that vaccinated people cannot get covid or spread covid and that only unvaccinated people can get it and spread it. That is not the science. Curious how tourists to the region will take this mandate. Remember - people do not NEED restaurants. Restaurants, though, NEED people. Grocery stores, pharmacies, and big box stores are exempt from this mandate. That, right there, proves this isn't about science, but about retribution. |
DP I agree with PP’s prediction. Come back and let us know how it pans out in 3 months. Life is tough already for business owners in DC. Especially small business owners. Mostly, this hurts them. And they have unfortunately struggled enough. |
True. And takeout doesn’t employ the same number of people - servers, etc. Anything that keeps patrons of a restaurant for any reason is not good for business. |

At some point in the not too distant future people will be wondering how they went this far.
Who in DC is going to have the guts to stand up first against this? Anyone? |
How about you? |
Huh. What's your goal in posting this vague attempt at rabble rousing? For my part, I wonder why idiots politicized, then opposed reasonable containment and healthcare measures for the last two years, leaving us with a pandemic that has gone this far. |
The mandate does not require that those working in those establishments be vaccinated, at this time. Thus the theater comment, perhaps. It encourages vaccination but does not guarantee that most in an establishment, will, in fact, be vaccinated. |
