lol .. he was under attack. You win the Darwin Award. |
I teach my kids about consequences for doing things they shouldn’t. |
He went looking for a fight with a weapon. Stupid is as stupid does. |
| Dude went looking for a fight. He farked around and a lot of people found out. |
Yes, that means he is not a murderer. It does not change the fact that he is a killer. He killed two men, which still makes him a killer. |
He killed two criminals in defense of his own life. His first assailant - Rosenbaum - was a convicted child rapist who sodomized little boys and should never have seen the outside of a prison again. He was shot after assaulting Rittenhouse and then attempting to disarm him. The second assailant - Huber - was a domestic abuser who repeatedly beat women. He was shot while trying to murder Rittenhouse with a skateboard. The third assailant - Kreutzfeld(?) - a convicted felon abd domestic abuser who couldn’t legally possess a gun - was shot in the arm and wounded as he was drawing a Glock pistol to shoot Rittenhouse. These are the criminals Rittenhouse defended his life from. All three intended to murder him. He defended himself, and a jury picked by the State agreed. Rittenhouse is a hero. |
| I don't think he did anything wrong. He had as much right to be out that night as anyone else. He also had as much right to defend himself as anyone else. I don't think we can accept a standard where only people with anti-police viewpoints are allowed to be out on the streets during protests. |
Most people are fine with killers when they act in self defense. Or some other justified reason. |
He’s a twerp. He should have stayed home with mommy and he wouldn’t have gotten into trouble. Actions have consequences. |
You’re probably the first to chastise people for their bad choices and say they have to live with the consequences of those choices and should have know better. Only a fool would go hunting for rioters during a volatile time. We are not a vigilante society. |
Not when they went looking for prey. |
I don't think what he did was wise. But lots of teens make unwise decisions that aren't criminally wrong. He got into enormous trouble but the case against him was weak. Those are consequences. Also, the people who attacked him experienced the consequences of their actions. Once as a young woman, I did something unwise. I want walking at night. I took a gun to be safe as it wasn't a very safe area. I liked to run and walk at night, when it was cool outside. I passed two men and a moment later, I instinctively checked behind me and they had turned and were walking toward me. I drew my weapon and pointed at one of the men, and they backed off and I took off running. I can sympathize with KR because i also went places I shouldn't have gone, done things that sensible women usually don't do, and that made me vulnerable to attackers in the same way he was. What if those men hadn't backed off? I surely would have shot them. And then all the same things could be said of me: she shouldn't have been walking. Why did she do that? Why did she bring a loaded gun and walk in an unsafe place? Was she "hunting" predatory men and is therefore a murderer? Kyle was a young, dumb kid. But he had every right to be in that protest without being attacked. |
He’s still a killer. |
It’s doesn’t matter to a trigger happy loser like Rittenhouse. |
Which is why you shouldn't attack people. They might kill you. None of it would have happened if those adults hadn't attacked a teenager. They probably thought he was an easy target. Its not KR's obligation to be easy prey. |
