No, I would say that it means you would never contemplate raising a child with someone who has their values. Or that you cannot emvision working to make the world a better place, alongside someone who elects politicians who are busy making it worse. To save taxes yet.

This. My W was middle of the road, even slightly conservative on some issues. Then she went nuts when Trump came around. I couldn't have a civil discussion with her, she would get extremely emotional and start attacking my character ("I forgot you're one of those MAGA FASCISTS!"). Would spend all night watching "Resistance" Youtube videos and would legit cry over how the Republicans were going to enslave women li ke on Handmaids Tale (her favorite TV show). There were many factors that contributed to our divorce, this was one. It was awful, I'd come home she'd immediately bombard me with whatever arcane bizarre claims about Russiagate Rachel Maddow was making and how this was definitely going to put Trump in jail, and even if I just remained politely quiet she'd get angry at me for not joining in.

+1 And DC is one of the few places where there are a noticeable portion of Republicans who are not Trumpers. Not the case in, say, Missouri.
