For those who put “No Republican” or “No Trumpers” on your dating profile....

How much hate mail do you get?

I’m a liberal guy in DC, so I never really needed to use those kinds of screeners on my dating profile. But most of my women friends have similar statements on their dating profiles. Guys hiding their Republican identity is apparently a big issue in the Acela Corridor dating markets.

Discuss. Any funny stories about this issue?

It's not really funny. Guys are just over-optimistic and think women will like them anyway when we see how charming they are. So it's best to screen them out.

Almost none. I only like/swipe on people who appear to be similarly aligned, so they rarely have an opportunity to reach out to me. Sometimes they slips through but it’s rare.

At this point in time who would date a Republican
.Matte Gaetz, Don Jr, Matthew Cawthorn not great representatives of the GOP men. OMG no one could make up how awful criminals anyone GOP is.

GOP = Authoritarianism and criminals

There is no middle ground period.

Democracy is hugely at risk. Apparently, you don't get that.

I don't know, but my 24 year old nephew shared that he only dates Republican women because they are more enjoyable to be around. I honestly had no idea he was such an ass.....

Once I find out someone is a Trumper it is game over for me.

I would not trust a Dr who is a Trumper. I would not want my child to have a Trumper teacher. I do my best to research the people my family is around to make sure they are not part of what we consider a cult.

I even told a neighbor that I don’t want to hear her crap. You can’t reason with a Trump supporter. Why would anyone want to date one?

Not a Republican but if someone put specific political or social issue requirements in a dating profile, I'd run for the hills.

Same. We avoid businesses that we know support trump and/or the GQP. I don’t want to be around those kinds of people at all.

Republicans are part of the problem because they go along with it. He was your nominee. He ran on your ticket. And you all voted not to remove him. So let's not split hairs.

You do appreciate that all such a requirement says is that you're unable to have a conversation with someone with whom you disagree. That's a death knell for any relationship as even the most compatible people occasionally disagree.
