Of note, multiple friends of JR said he had only recently "met" the Banfields. This may be something CB had not done previously that she was coerced into by BB, perhaps linked to his birthday, but really just a ruse for murder. It's horrible to consider that but it is possible and clearly an intent was to smear CB and JR in death, as AP and BB's mothers have actively done. JR and CB had one understanding, but they were mislead, set up, dehumanized and murdered.

I wonder if the police have evidence that BB researched the Mark Winger case. I can see him thinking “Great idea, and I’m too smart to make the missteps he did.”

I'd add, AP is in custody and is charged with second degree murder, it's possible that if she becomes cooperative she may be offered a plea deal.

BB is said to be on leave from his IRS LE job.

I didn’t realize until this summary that AP says that while she was gone BB encountered JR stabbing CB. I thought she encountered. And doesn’t the LE have proof that BB didn’t arrive until after?

Has LE concluded that CB didn’t create the fetish account. I know we all speculate that but has LE concluded?

PP here who wrote the summary. I think we're both sort of right. AP saw JR enter the home, however it seems that BB was the first to physically encounter. The commonwealth seems very certain that someone other than CB created the fetlife user.

Magalhaes said she forgot the child’s lunch and went back to the house to get it. When she did, she said she [saw] Ryan pull up and go into the house. Magalhaes said she called Banfield’s husband who told her to wait and he would come home. Magalhaes’ lawyer said Magalhaes went into the house with Banfield’s husband and took the 4-year-old child to the basement. She supposedly dialed 911 at that point but didn’t know what to say to the emergency dispatcher, so she hung up. The lawyer said Magalhaes left the basement and that she and Banfield’s husband heard some sort of interaction involving Banfield and Ryan above them. They weren’t sure if it was consensual or not. Magalhaes said Banfield’s husband, who is a special agent for the IRS, pulled out his service weapon and went into the bedroom where he saw Ryan with a knife to Banfield’s throat.

My understanding of the story is different. She called BB when she returned home. She said she saw an unknown car at the house and he came right back home. They all three went into the house/basement together and they heard something going on. Then BB went up and confronted JR.

AP’s story doesn’t make sense. Why would you go into the basement? That’s not where the lunch is, and if you think something is fishy about the strange car/man, you shouldn’t bring the kid into the house. There’s also no reason to assume Christine or the stranger would be in the basement that early in the morning. The natural place to look for her is first on the main floor, then upstairs, then basement last.

I think a lot of people are missing what the intended “set up” by BB and AuPair. I’m sure their story is that AuPair called BB about the strange car bc he told her “he suspected an affair”. In their retelling, they weren’t saying they went into the house scared, just that BB went into confront affair partner. That’s why all this speculation about her entering the house isn’t what you would do when scared, doesn’t matter. Or whether she went to the basement or should have gone to the kitchen to make lunch, ect. shouldn’t be part of the speculation/narrative.

It's why the "story" made no sense to Joe's friends who posted on this board and elsewhere, how could she be "scared" of a "strange car" when he had been there before? The nonsensical story is the lead up to the set up. Or the set up to the set up.

Two people are dead and a little girl has lost her mommy and at least for now, much of her extended family, and for what?

Them being dumb is not a guarantee that there will be accountability. We can hope.
