Disagree. He comes across as an incredibly naive and earnest 17 year old kid. I think even if you get jurors questioning self-defense they aren't going to see intent. |
So someone who drives drunk and kills another should be left off? No. |
Says who? Can you prove the intent of those people? Yes they did not kill anyone or fire a shot. |
Says who? Says the prosecution themselves. They testified that victim #1 said he was going to kill him and was actively trying to take his gun.... |
Wow this case is a total train wreck.
Hopefully the prosecutor will be disbarred for this. |
Had he the authority to do so, the judge would disbar counsel for the prosecution on the spot. |
Prosecution clearly knows that they lost the case and so wants to save face a bit by provoking a mistrial.
Outrageous. |
This website is full of people who defend 15 and 17 year old “kids” who commit armed carjackings, even when the victim ends up dead, even when they have a criminal history. And yet now you have a white 17 year old kid literally defending himself against multiple attackers and they want him to do life for it. |
He was not defending himself. He attacked an innocent man and killed him. |
No even KR says he did not know who the guy was talking to… |
They were advancing on him with gun barrels pointing at him. I would shoot their ass too. |
I hope the defense (or whoever needs to do it) does push for this. The only good thing here is that if the judge throws out the case then at least the jurors won’t be threatened or attacked for acquitting him. |
Prosecutor is terrible and deserves to lose. And that stinks. It is very sad and I think he likely deserves some kind of second degree murder but it needs to be a clean trial and the prosecutor is flagrantly defying the judge. It is crazy. |
Prosecutor is kind of baiting the judge right now. It is super weird.
