And the whole discussion now about hollow point bullets that he DID NOT USE.

You couldn’t possibly be more wrong. The first shooting occurred. KR then ran away. The crowd chased him. They caught up to him just short of two blocks away. The second and third shootings occur. He was clearly in retreat after the first shooting (or fleeing, if you prefer). There was no legal justification for the second and third persons shot to attack KR.

A bunch of people saw a kid shot a guy in cold blood...of course they chased after him. They didn't want him to get away and avoid a murder prosecution.

Again, this is incorrect. Barely anybody saw the actual shooting because it happened in a secluded area.

Anybody who actually did see it saw KR defending himself. Not a cold blood killing.

What you’re really trying to do is justify a mob that was attempting to unjustifiably attack KR.

What you are really trying to do is justify an unarmed vigilante taking the law into his own hands.

Did everyone there have an AR 15? Or just the shooter?

The point is that the shooting would have happened regardless of what gun he was using.

Well, that point is nonsense. But okay.

So they would still have attacked him if he had had a little bitty gun - was that before or after he killed the first guy?

The prosecutor is demonstrating that Rittenhouse had no idea what he was carrying. "A bullet is a bullet."

Ok. So he should just be ok with being hit in the head with skateboards, cinderblocks, getting kicked in the neck and just let more kicks keep coming. He should have just let that happen? Because that is what was happening to him. And witnesses have supported his account. If it was you or your kid, you know you would have done Anything to defend yourself. Stop thinking he is a mass shooter or school shooter. He was stupid to go there. Yes he was. But if he hadn’t had that gun, he would be dead.

That is not relevant. He doesn’t dispute he carried an AR 15. He doesn’t dispute he killed the people. The only issue is of intent. He said he intended to defend himself and that is legal in that state. The bullet he used was legal, appropriate for the firearm and NOT as deadly as hollow point.

The only reason he's not a mass shooter is because he shot 3 people instead of 4 people, which is how we've defined mass shootings.

If he hadn't brought the gun, two other people would be alive and he wouldn't be a murderer.

If he hadn't have had the gun, he would've left. Instead he stayed and shot people.

Wait - don’t public safety officer (ie- police), universally use hollow point bullets to defend public safety, and keep everybody safe?

The police do not intend nor seek to murder, anyone.

Dumb kid.

Should not have been there.

But, he was there and this appears to be self-defense.

The guys he shot should not have been there either. They were not protesters, tjhey were rioters.

This is elephant in the room of our society. If no one had a gun that night then no one would be dead. This is true in so many situations.
