That's a good thing. Enrollment at Chantilly NEEDS to come down significantly. It would be nice if it came down enough to remove the modulars.

We have no problem with modulars. We are absolutely fine with it.

You might not have a problem with modulars, but other families might.

We will take modulars if it means we can stay at Chantilly. No one wants to be moved out of Chantilly.

But if you search on this thread, over and over again, parents have complained about how crowded Chantilly is and how they need to figure that out. So yes, obviously you don't want your child moved, but people DO complain that it's overcrowded and you cannot deny that.

Two things can be true at once. It can be overcrowded, and no one wants to be moved.

Yes, thank you for repeating what I said in your gentle parenting toddler voice.

+1000000. When the school board makes boundary changes, it tears apart communities.

How about you change your perspective a little. They may be "tearing up" your community at this point in time, but they are also building new communities. Your family will become a part of the community at whatever school your child is zoned to. Today is just a snapshot in time. Current 4 year olds aren't part of any high school pyramid community.

Pathetic social engineering at its finest. Why don’t you let me choose your family’s situation since we’re playing this game of not giving a $hit about kids.

I'm sorry you're so upset. I hope you find a way to keep your kids at your base school. My kids' high school and middle school situations are currently up in the air, so I do understand.

My kid is currently at Chantilly. We don’t want to move. We don’t care that it’s overcrowded.

And your kid won't be moving. But if you have a younger kid who's in elementary school now, that kid might not go to Chantilly.

God damnit, why are they keeping the pool that nobody wants because someone could drown and die?!

I’ve got a 7th grader that I’m worried about.

Why would you get rid of an indoor swimming pool, which is a community amenity very much in demand?

A lot of people want the pool.

Having a pool at a HS is great, will be amazing for their swim team.

How can a place used as a school have major fire code issues?

Good question. But, I remember decorating for all night grad and fire code had lots of rules. But, it had to be inspected for KAA so I cannot imagine anything major.

That person is just making things up.
