Because for some reason Tesla is worth more than 14 of the top 15 largest automobile makers in the world combined.

These are real middle class and UMC people with families. They way they were so easily let go was sad. Elon showing no remorse. There were financial issues and layoffs were likely unavoidable, but he made it much worse losing advertisers and such. Not all but lots of layoffs could have been avoided if it wasn’t for one man’s ego.

Twitter was on track to lay off a good chunk of their workforce even before the Musk takeover shenanigans started. They probably wouldn’t have been as crude about it but the warning signs were there.

+1
but it still would have made a screaming headline

It's funny how many people spend time trashing Elon Musk about Twitter. On Twitter. Which they think now sucks because of Elon Musk.[/quote

I wonder if they would have had, I don't know, some kind of sensible PLAN for their reduction in force?

it will be up to engineers to “self-certify compliance with FTC requirements and other laws."

Holy cr*p. You could not pay me enough to stay there. Not going to jail for EM.

The Left [now] considers identity theft, viral disinformation, smearing innocent people, libel, and slander to be "comedy"? Um, okay. Count me out.

Where do you stand on the Alex Jones defamation suit, hmmmm? "Free Speech" much?

It’s kinda entertaining to see someone so revered for being a “genius” to be exposed as a hack. Musk is not a business genius, maybe good at marketing. And for those who don’t know, he doesn’t have an engineering degree.

The emperor has no clothes.

He is a business genius, but what that means is that he has hits and misses. Big hits and big misses.

No, he's a fool. What he has is money, not smarts. Clearly.

Just like Trump.

This whole thing reminds me of Republicans and Roe. They were much better of complaining about Roe than actually achieving their goal of overturn.

Elon was much better off complaining about Twitter and than actually being responsible for it.

$44 billion is a pretty big miss
