These are real middle class and UMC people with families. They way they were so easily let go was sad. Elon showing no remorse. There were financial issues and layoffs were likely unavoidable, but he made it much worse losing advertisers and such. Twitter was on track to lay off a good chunk of their workforce even before the Musk takeover shenanigans started. They probably wouldn’t have been as crude about it but the warning signs were there.
